The Dark Knight Harley Quinn

I think Harley Quinn could be a great character in the batman sequels because her relationship with the Joker (as his equally psychotic girlfriend) is funny and bizarre.

It would be more interesting than another boring bruce wayne love interest that ends so predictabally. Instead why not focus on Harley and Joker.

I see them like the couple in natural born killers with a little of bonnie and clyde too.

Her jester suit isn't anymore ludacris looking than the Joker's is.

They should both share the same sick sense of humour and really enjoy messing with batman.

BRITTANY MURPHY FOR HARLEY!

while i think Brittany Murphy's role in "Uptown Girls" disqualifies her from ever doing a good movie, I agree that her relationship with the Joker would liven up the romance in the movie alot.

Especially since Quinn and the Joker don't ever really have to conclude or climax the relationship. Joker can treat her like **** or lavish apon her and she's still going to come crawling back. It's a theoredically never ending relationship thoroughly loyal on Quinn's side, yet riddled with distrust.

Very good material.

Seriously Harley and the Joker are a deliciously twisted couple who would be way more entertaining than any stupid love interest they bring in for Bruce Wayne could ever be. I wouldn't cast Brittany Murphy though or Kristen Dunst...here's my choice...

This may seem a odd choice at first but I really think SMG could pull it off. I've seen her do evil, crazy, and sexy in Buffy, (when possessed or after switching bodies with Faith,) and be the Queen of all *****es in Cruel Intentions. And she'd probably be happy to get the part.

Yeah, that's my question about Gwen Stefani too-though one advantage would be seeing her do that song Harley Quinn did in that one episode of Batman the Animated Series for all the villains...that would be good times! But unless I saw Gwen give an awesome audition I'd be hesitant about giving her the part. Katie after all is already proof of the dangers of just hiring someone for a pivotal female character based solely on their aesthetic value. And Harley Quinn in a lot of ways is a much harder character to play than a typical spunky attractive assistant district attorney type love interest; and unlike Rachel Dawes Harley Quinn is already part of the Batman universe and has a substantial fanbase, (including yours truly,) who would be invested in seeing her done RIGHT. Kate Bosworth's lackluster performance as Lois Lane was after all I believe a key component in why that movie was somewhat dissapointing in terms of fan reaction and gross earnings; BB survived having a less than stellar female lead because Rachel just wasn't that important to the movie nor is part of the Batman mythos, so KH's suckiness was more than compensated for by the fact that all the other characters, (who were part of the Batman mythos,) were so fabulous. However, you can't do a Superman movie without Lois Lane and Lois is absolutely CENTRAL to the whole Superman story so if she doesn't work that well the whole movie is in trouble. Harley of course is not a central figure like Lois or Catwoman but her relationship to the Joker is pretty darn important, (and Harley with Poison Ivy or all by herself could be a lot of fun too,) so if you're going to have her there she should be done properly.

Count me in on the Brittany Murphy bandwagon.

I've been trying to let these people know that fact for a long time. It is more important to cast an actor that can play their counterparts just as well or even better than when they go evil.

very good sir

look at the fact people!brittney could not pull of harleen quinzel the psychitrist who falls madly in love with joker, shes can pull off harley for sure, but u need to have harleen first

I think she can actually pull the Harleen Quinzel . I remember when I first saw Mad Love I was surprised that the voice of Arleen could be Harleen without falling in the clown persona, So I do think that Britanny could totally play serious and reserved psychiatrist.

no she cant shes too i dont knowicant explain it,i cant see her pulling it off
