Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows - Part 4

Also, I just bought the target exclusive DH1/2 ultimate edition. I'll post my thoughts on it when I'm home.

I didn't buy this year's set because I know WB is holding back once again and will release a ever better set later on. I have all the movies individually, I can wait.

Yeah, I've decided against the set - and I have a prop of the locket anyways. But the UE, well I loved DH1/2 exclusive enough to get them.

I'll get the Ultimate Edition of Deathly Hallows, as I already have the UEs for the first six. I like that this package has both parts, too.

I only have the first two UE sets, but now that Deathly Hallows is getting a UE release I will be packing the 3-7 sets now. Oh boy, wonder how many months its going to take to save up and complete lol!

Hopefully extended editions. I still wanna see the alt. ending to Goblet, the explanation of Priori Incantatem, and that 3 hour OOTP cut. Everything else I just wanna see what was cut.

I would definitely double-dip for a longer cut of OOTP and GOF, or for an edition that includes all the deleted footage from both pics.

And as for the Ultimate Editions, I saw the original documentaries aired on Biography and A&E last year. They were pretty good, but for me they were a one-time only thing. I would love something closer to the documentaries the Batman Anthology received, where the participants are more frank and acknowledge the shortcomings and decisions that irked people.

The UE documentaries are informative and fun to a point, but too much happy talk and avoiding more thorny issues.

The difference between the docs on the Harry Potter UEs and the Batman Anthology is that the latter wer made with a lot of distance - they were retrospective documentaries, which the ones on the HP sets weren't/aren't. But no one need worry, in eleven years we'll all be able to flobbityquintuple-dip and buy the 75-disc box set in Xingamaxx format, and those interviews may be more honest.

That's true. They still could've added more meat to the docs though, if they weren't willing to talk frankly about their experiences.

Confirmation Lillly's letter to Sirius was included but ultimately cut from Deathly Hallows Part 1.

It was found in one of the books in this ridiculously priced collection.

Yeah, there were photos on set, and I have it somewhere in a DH1 magazine article, but i'll need to scan it.

What Hermione's been doing post-grad:

Ron, you lucky son of a *****. :cmad:

It's gonna be really hard looking back at these movies now without wanting to see Filch get ****ing curb-stomped. :o

I just watched Perks of Being a Wallflower. Weird to see her with an American accent.

In about 5 years I will be jonesing for a 30 minute tv movie.

At the very least, I think this universe is primed for a cartoon series.

Because of Game of Thrones, I will now hate Filch more than Voldemort.

You guys heard the newsman about Daniel wanting to have kids before he is 30? Kinda random and weird.. but he was Harry Potter there are tons of girls around the world that would have his baby lol.

Dan has admitted to having sex with "Harry Potter groupies" too, lol.

Some interviewer asked if any girl ever called him Harry in "the throes of passion", and he said that would be the end of that encounter if they did.

Muggles rejoice! Butterbeer is now being served at Starbucks
By Erin Strecker on Nov 7, 2013 at 4:59PM

Harry Potter can’t be real, your friends explain to you every holiday season, you can’t even order Butterbeer at restaurants not named The Three Broomsticks.

Well, this week Starbucks proved if you wish for something long enough, it’ll come true and then your friends can’t make fun of you much anymore. Butterbeer, the beloved drink that Harry, Ron, Hermione, and so many others down regularly throughout the Harry Potter books, is coming to Starbucks, per a note at Dalebacar.com.

The item won’t be on the menu though; instead Muggles will have to use a secret password (sound familiar?) to access the frothy beverage. The password being the exact recipe below. While it isn’t advertised, Starbucks will make the drink — so long as you provide them these instructions.

-A Creme Frappuccino base. Whole milk is required for the right consistency.
-Add 3 pumps of caramel syrup.
-Add 3 pumps of toffee nut syrup.
-Top with caramel drizzle

Ten house points will be awarded to you if you begin your request with “Accio (please)!” Spoilsports will note that this basically just means Starbucks will make you whatever drink you want, provided they have the ingredients.

But no one likes a fun-sucking Death Eater.
Sounds like alot of work. Just put it on the menu.
