Fantasy Harry Potter the Series on HBO

Considering the amount of people involved, my guess is their agents presented them all with an easy paycheck and it's only a "voice role". Nothing front facing. Not needing the money never stopped anyone. Also this is a lot of people. A lot. Mr. Darcy is in there too.

I do wonder how many of them are aware of Rowling in general. It's a social media thing for the most part and I'm not sure many of these folks do that (I obviously know Keira doesn't). How legacy media presents it over there is insane. Still not an excuse. You pay people to know this.

I think part of it is that the british, english especially, get up their own asses over literature. They view Harry Potter as very british, very much part of their cultural identity, like Shakespeare and Tolkien.

But, also, its TERF island for a reason.

The US is basically a TERF continent. It still doesn't go like this.

Moldemort is deciding to play up her "poverty" from the sob story her publisher created. Of course social media debunked it and that she wasn't this struggling homeless author.

You know what I was thinking when I watched the first Harry Potter movie? "Man, I really wish they had a scene that showed Dumbledore visiting Nicolas Flamel." :o

Good to see the older actor being so supportive to the new guy in the same role. :)

Guess they are really expecting this to do well if they are already filming the next season.

This is why shows are better than movies in a world this complex. :)

Lets not give Joanne too much credit. These books are not complex. They get longer and longer. They are half slice of life, half plot. And the fans want it all. They make the people who named every alien/character on screen of Star Wars look sane.

Not to say it isn't entertaining to people. Most YA books are not complex, however.

In this particular case, the first book can probably be finished in half that time. So I'm sensing a lot of padding incoming.

An entire episode will be about the Sorting Hat pondering over where it should put Harry. :o

I'm sure the chess puzzle will be extended and be more dramatic.

Just like REAL chess! :nerd:
Except it will end with!
