Eion Bailey would be good also.DV8 said:I think that when thinking Harvey, we have to think of someone who would be just as good at playing Batman himself . . . some of the folks that were mentioned for the part in the past were:
Matthew McConaoughladhy
Billy Crudup
I don't think anyone else is really worth mentioning, now that I think about it
Agreed - most of the suggestions made on this board are all actors who have the potential to be a great Dent, but we all have our personal preferences.ANTHONYNASTI said:The Pyscho remake sucked (or form what I heard). Seriously, WTF were they thinking? You can't remake Pyscho.
If he got Dent, I wouldn't mind, I love Vince, but there are so many better picks for the part.
Patrick Dempsey says:DV8 said:You said it!We're talking about friggin BATMAN!! Not a guest starring role in Party of Five . . . .
B-list? And what is Liev Schriber - whose biggest film so far is the Omen remake?ANTHONYNASTI said:C'mon, AnimeJune, Dempsey's a B - list actor at best. He doesn't have the most impressive resume in the world, and he's really not all that amazing an actor. He's got the look, but that's it. He doesn't scream intense at all. He just screams calm, cool and charming Dr. McDreamy.

Hmmm, wrong wrong and WRONG. You Schreiber haters are just completely misinformed, misguided and... well, wrong.Brian2887 said:I firmly hold the belief that Liev Schreiber wouldn't even be considered for this role if he didn't look like Tim Sale's art. He has a mediocre career, and only one of his roles has been critically applauded - The Manchurian Candidate. People cite that movie as proof that Schreiber can play dual personas, but that's not the case. He played normal or emotionless. There's been no sign he could pull off the evil side of Two-Face.
He was hesitant throughout that entire film.L0ngsh0t said:no he is not timid or uncomfortable as an assasin, he is uncofortable going back to his home, and has a tough time telling everone where he has been, he is cool with being an assasin
the dictionary meaning of timid, is 1. lacking self-confidence or shy, 2. fearful and hesitent
cusack is nither of these in that movie, or most of his movies, uncofortable yes, but he seems to not back down when that thug is always trying to kill him in the movie
*applauds* He'd be a great Harvey Dent.Shoemeister said:Hmmm, wrong wrong and WRONG. You Schreiber haters are just completely misinformed, misguided and... well, wrong.
Liev Schreiber won a TONY AWARD (Broadway's version of the Oscars) for Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Play in 2005 in the revival David Mamet's Pulitzer Prize winning play Glengarry Glen Ross (which happened to also win Best Revival of 2005). He gave a brilliant performance for the role of Richard Roma, a guy who is all about being deceptive, and TWO-FACED (read the damn play, it's incredible.)
Schreiber was also nominated for an Emmy for his portrayal of a young Orson Welles (hell of an honor to play the man himself!) in the 1999 HBO movie RKO 281.
Not to mention he's received critical acclaim for his work in The Sum of All Fears, The Manchurian Candidate (as you well know) and even his directorial debut for Everything Is Illuminated.
The guy has plenty of range, is a highly regarded actor, knows how to tell a good story and certainly appreciates one (he was originally going to be a screenwriter). He's in the perfect position to become an even bigger star now despite the mediocre reviews that The Omen is getting, since the majority have no problem with his performance.
Face it. The guy's got the chops and, yes, the look. The point is that he's an ideal fit. He's critically acclaimed and highly lauded for his work. The man went to Yale, he's got plenty of class and is devoted to his craft. Therefore, I say to all you haters (and AnimeJune for all this Dempsey s***) :
SCHREIBER, DAMMIT!
LIVE WITH IT PEOPLE. HE IS HARVEY DENT.

He'd have to be playing the part of Pacino to be better than Pacino - because all Al's been doing these days is playing minor variations of himself.Ox Elf said:I didn't know Liev played Richard Roma. I'd have liked to have seen that.
though I doubt he was better than Pacino![]()

Resume isn't the only factor in how good an actor is - there are thousands of brilliant actors out there who just didn't have any luck and have to wait tables while they perform in local theatres.
Granted, if you haven't seen him in as many films as I have, and you haven't seen him in anything intense, that's perfectly fair for you to doubt his ability. But I have, and I think he would be an excellent Two Face.
shaggyaggie457 said:Do you mean Billy Dee Williams?
Yeah, he really did a pretty good job in B89, it's just that I'm sure lots of people wouldn't be happy with a black Two Face.
To me, the choice is simple.StorminNorman said:Vaughn could very easily be the best Dent candidate out there - he could also be the worst. I have seen Vince Vaugn in many movies in many different roles playing many diffent types of characters and he could totally nail both sides of the character - however he could also completely miss both sides as well. I see him as a wild card, however I would have no problem with him at all if he was cast.
That being said, SCHREIBER DAMMIT!
