HAWKGIRL/HAWKMAN solo movie or/and JL movie character (casting choice)

I actually like more Shyera than Carter. but I also think that could also be the other way. first Shayera and then Carter/Katar.

To the general audience (non comic fans), Hawkman is the most known of the couple. That's why it's best to begin with him.
Say what you want about Smallville, call it garbage, but there's a reason why Hawkman was on the show and not Hawkgirl.

Althought I'd be fine if they start with Shayera or the couple.

I will say this... Whomever they could get to be in charge of a HAWKMAN/HAWKWOMAN film, they will need to bring a film with a fairly MOS styled scope to the proceedings. Alien or Egyptian or both, the origin is one that requires an epic, Game of Thrones/Gladiator quality to make it not seem cheesy to the general audiences. It's the one thing I think that would cause a studio to nix this kind of project. It would cost much in effort and money, and it's not like the Hawks are really all that popular to begin with.

If they combine the mythology of egypcian and thanagar with a really good tone. It would be epic.
Also I wouldn't mind Eva Green playing her. She owned her role in 300:ROAI as Artemisia. That or Circe are my best choices for her t:
I'm think Thanagar will take place here. Do you remember the reference in the MOS prelude comic?
Obviously they had interest on Thanagarians.

Again though, would even a great HAWKMAN/HAWKWOMAN script get a green light to actually get made? Think about how much it would cost. I'd LOVE to see it happen, but even if we get a cohesive DCCU from the Superman/Batman film, at best the Hawks are looking at getting their shot WAY down the line. It would be a great chance to see a superhero film with some brutal action. I mean... Hawkman carries a freakin' mace for Zod's sake!!

What do you think of this helmet (only the helmet!!!!) for Hawkgirl?
Funny if she wear a helmet similar to Thor's and she wear it opposite to the God of Thunder on the big screen.

He's not really shown the range to play either Katar (a disillusioned noble that falls from grace, is exiled and then clears his name to regain his status as a wingman) or Carter (The reincarnated form of an Egyptian prince who is fated to be reborn again and again and find his true love in each life, only to die once he's found her). Dude seems like a nice enough guy, but other than his physique, what is the fanboy obsession with casting him in everything?

Back in the day I would have cast Adrian Paul or Rufus Sewell as Katar/Carter. Also back in the day, Renee Russo as Hawkwoman.

Paul Bettany? Eh. Not horrible, but not my first choice.

I like Karl Urban for the role, myself. The Jason Momoa rumors from a couple of months ago didn't bother me, either. My biggest problem with him, though, is that he's not a particularly good actor.
