The Winter Soldier Hayley Atwell/Peggy Carter back for Cap 2!

So, I heard that the Agent Carter one-shot will introduce Zodiac, is that true? That would be cool, first HYDRA, then AIM, and now Zodiac.
We're not exactly sure what Zodiac is pertaining to here since there's been multiple things called that in the comics and the MCU has a tendency to repurpose names without regard to strict comic accuracy.

Like Agent Coulson, I think the character of Agent Carter may take a life of its own and become something bigger and more important in MCU. Atwell seems to be interested to continue to reprise her role as Peggy and I hope Marvel has something special planned for that character in the near future.

From what Hayley and Louis D'Esposito have said about the character, Marvel seems to be testing the waters for an Agent Carter TV show or feature film. My money would be on a TV show, as an expansion of the MCU on ABC. It would be a great way to explore the postwar era and the beginnings of SHIELD, while also continuing a great character. I hope they're able to follow through with it because I really love Peggy and want to see more of her kickass adventures.

A period TV series as counterpart of the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. would be cool. You know, with Carter and her new boss, Howard Stark and the Howling Commandos.... so much potential.
BUT although it would be a good bit of fun, the concept may be too similar.

Yeah, a period piece TV show could be really fun. I wonder about one thing, though? In the comics, if I remember correctly, Peggy and Gabe Jones become a couple. Gabe was in TFA as one of Cap's teammates. I wonder if they'll be any hint of that pairing in either the one-shot or TWS? I would imagine that Cap would be happy that at least Peggy found happiness with one of his comrades.

"She still holds a flame for him. She still pines after him. But the picture she holds on her desk is one of him as early Steve. Skinny Steve. And you get a sense that she loved that. She loved his spirit, and his heart and his character. And so that's a kind of nice touch....and that's what makes the audience care for their relationship. It wasn't just that he became a superhero and she was attracted to him. It was something far more interesting."

The First Avenger just doesn't get enough credit sometimes. I think its still an underrated picture :D .

Glad to see Atwell was so invested in coming back and this character and these relationship.

I agree. I think while the movie's problems included an ending that felt a bit too rushed, I think overall the heart of the movie is in the right place, and both Evans and Atwell anchored the movie very well, and gave the movie something real and substantial with their relationship. They're definitely one of the top couples of superhero movies imo.

Don't remember too much of it, but Bucky and Red Skull were underwhelming.

Atwell was fantastic though. :D

What is the symbol on this vile of serum? From the Peggy one shot...

Can't really tell but am wondering what exactly she's retrieving. Looks to be some sort of serum that may be a knockoff Super-Soldier serum or maybe even the Infinity Formula.

That's what i'm thinking as well.

I'm thinking it could be the Infinity Formula as well. Samuel L. Jackson's recent comments about the movie lead me to believe that Fury may POSSIBLY be a WWII Vet like Cap (not saying that for sure, just maybe). The IF is also a convenient way to bring in BW's Cold War past if they want to.

Looks like a zodiacal symbol, though it doesn't fit with any of the ones I can find.

It looks a bit like the symbol for Pluto with parts inverted. In astrology, Pluto rules the sign Scorpio. In Marvel Comics, Scorpio was an alias for both Nick Fury and his brother Jake.

Couldn't agree more. The First Avenger has a lot of heart. I love the movie.

The movie theater scene, the "I don't want to kill anyone, I just don't like bullies" line, the dud grenade scene, the final scene with Steve and Peggy, and the final line of the film ... They got me right in the heart, you know?

Just saw the Agent Carter one shot. Marvels best short by far. hayleys amazing in this. At the end of it, i just got pretty sad knowing we've probably seen the last of her in the MCU.

Agent Carter is badass. Peggy should of slapped the the taste out of the sexist agents mouths.

[BLACKOUT]They really need to include Peggy and Howard in a throwback episode of Agents of SHIELD[/BLACKOUT]

How did you do that? I didn't think the IM3 Blu-Ray was coming out for some weeks yet.
