this is a road you don't want to go down.

Bought the third season today and not even ten minutes home I'm watching it right now. :D

Ramsay is the only genuinely good person on the show.

He saved Theon from the wrath of the other Northmen, who likely wanted him dead for "killing" Bran and Rickon. Not to mention Theon blatantly throwing away the kindness that the Starks showed him. Ramsay could have stopped there, but he didn't! He let Theon enjoy a leisurely ride to gather his thought and reflect on sacking Winterfell. Then while hiding Theon, Ramsay was kind enough to play some games with him, to lighten the mood. He even gave Theon some ****es, and upon seeing Theon's member was infected, removed it to save Theon's life. He even gave Theon a bit of hope by sharing his knowledge of phantom limbs. And Ramsay was kind enough to send Balon the member so that the maesters could grow some of the infection in a culture to devise an antiviral/antibiotic strain of milk of the poppy. Finally, let's not forget that Ramsay was good enough to send a letter with the gift to let Balon know that Theon was alright. He even offered to help the other Ironborn escape the Crannogmen and wolves.

Ramsay really helped out Theon by ridding him of the one appendage that tended to get Theon into a lot of trouble.

I have a list of all the good things Ramsay has done so far. Of course, most of it includes all the stuff you stole from my list.

Just saw a season 4 advert which was showing the ending from Mhysa. The music was good and it had a brief shot of a dragon flying past but otherwise it seems like a really bad thing to advertise GoT with. I wouldn't see that and get the urge to watch it.

Ramsay is the most misunderstood man in westeros. Well, behind The Mountain. The Mountain doesnt mean to hurt people. He just doesnt know his own strength. In his mind he is a beautiful ballerina who just wants to be loved.

What about Joffrey? He's not such a bad person, he has mommy's love after all

I'd like to see Joffrey & Ramsay team up vs The Mountain. Joffrey can have his crossbow.

My season 3 boxset got here. The Stark boxart is...so beautiful.

I'm looking forward to the 'Rains of Castamere Unveiled' featurette. And man, there's 12 audio commentaries on this bad boy. That's pretty awesome.

Looking at this season's symbol, I think it has two meanings, both of which tie into the theme of the similarities the Starks and Lannisters have.

The first is how the Lannisters are now moving more front and center for this series. At the end of Season One, the Starks were still clearly the main faction the story was going to focus on and largely in control of their own destiny, what with the King in the North and the capture of Jamie. Now, in the wake of the Red Wedding, the Starks are scattered, exiled, or dead, and seem to be in the "shadow" of the Lannisters, who hold the last recognized Stark heir in their paws. But that also means the Lannisters are how the ones with the target on their backs, and the fandom now knows that there may be no place more dangerous in the Game of Thrones than front and center.

That's interesting. I see what you're saying, but I do wonder if maybe they prefer the Stark sigil beside the Lannister rather than the Baratheon sigil beside the Lannister one as art direction, just aesthetically more appealing or something. The Starks are my favorite, but man...they're decimated. I haven't read the books (actually, still reading book one), but it was amazing to see how completely obliterated they were. I think I went into a rant about it right after the Red Wedding, but the Starks are no longer players in the "game", as it were. Atleast, it doesn't appear that way with the end of last season. Kinda just about survival for the Stark children, now.

I was kind of expecting the visual set up to be Baratheon v. Lannister, because Stannis is still a threat. Not that I mind the symbol that, I agree, is probably going to be the "cover" for season 4. That looked like some beautiful artwork.

I picked it up at Target. The bonus disc there is a 90 min panel from the Emmys. Probably won't watch it but if I'm going to get the standard set, I might as well get a bonus.

If anyone else gets it at Target, the DVD section has box sets with those wires on it, they're pressing into the DVD and might cause the slip cover to warp. However, I saw a small display at the entrance by registers, had to look back behind a few with the bonus disc but it was there and without the security device. Kind of strange they put those right by the exit.

So ... how much money would it cost me to pay the actors and producers to play out that scenario for me, costumes and all? Theoretically, I mean.

I think Baratheon vs Bolton would work better. If they do another four way visual set up, they can throw in Greyjoy and Targaryen.

Previous seasons have also had around that many. :yay:

Season 1 had 7 commentaries.

Season 2 had 12 commentaries...which surprises me, cause I thought it was much fewer. Now that think about it I dont think Ive listened to any of the aeason 2 commentaries. I must remedy this!

I almost bought this today and then i realized it was gonna be $29.99 til 2/22/14 at Best Buy on Blu.

All the commentaries and extras I've watched/listened to have been awesome so far. These blu-rays are as good as you get on every front.

HBO always puts out a damn good Blu product.
