This. They pretty much went out of their way to mention his name whenever he was on-screen or about to be.
Exactly. I think they said his name more tonight then ever before. He was also carrying his Dothraki blade and they made sure to show it.

When he said he commanded the City Watch I was like WTF does that have to do with the **** beyond the wall? I hope that asshat gets killed by a giant and screams like a *****.

I hate Slynt so damn much.

I never read the books but was that Arya scene different?

The major difference was that it was the Tickler she killed and tormented instead of Polliver. The Tickler was killed in Harrenhal by Jaqen in season 2.

i was hoping it looked liked Chubbs in Gilmore

By the way, I can't believe Oberyn said what he said about Rhaegar. "Left her for another woman". Also, blue rose. All but confirmed.

Can you explain that?

EDIT: wait, nevermind. wasn't the "other women" Ned's sister?

I know right! My jaw hit the floor.:wow:
My fanboy hit the floor. :funny:

The idea that Rhaegar did not kidnap Ned's sister Lyanna. That they ran away together and the result was [BLACKOUT]Jon Snow[/BLACKOUT].

The blue rose was Lyanna's favorite flower, and in one of Dany's visions in the second book, she sees a blue flower in a Wall of Ice. You can do the math from there. :yay:

Right, right. That slipped my mind for a second.

I didn't catch that one. :wow:

Ha, I was hoping somebody would have made a gif for this. Not disappointed.

How so?
We've pretty much known that Rhaegar left Elia for Lyanna since the first book. This isn't really new information.

Don't get me wrong, I buy the theory full-heartedly but I'm not sure how this adds anything to the theory.

No one on the show has made the Rhaegar and Lyanna situation sound like anything other then a kidnapping. Robert was clearly biased, and Bran was taught the story the way the King would see it.

I was actually surprised to see Janos Slynt again. Figured he'd just be forgotten after Tyrion sending him to The Wall in the season 2 premier. Dunno what else to say that hasn't been said already, Oberyn was awesome. Arya and The Hound stole the show. Holy **** the Thenn!

The fact the writers (who know how the story ends) made it sound like Rhaegar loved Lyanna instead of a kidnapping her pretty much confirms the RL=J theory. If the theory wasn't true I doubt they would have had Oberyn say it the way he did.

Exactly. I also think what is more important is that it implies that Lyanna loved him.

"Lots of people name their swords."

"Lots of ****s."

God I love the Hound. Him and Arya should get their own show.

Remember in ADWD(I know, probably not the book you'd like to remember) but Barristan is comparing Dany and Daario's romance to all the other romances in history that have led to strife. He says "Rhaegar loved the Stark girl and the realms bled."
