i wondered why Madison was the only one i didnt have complaints aboutI'm guessing they recorded the voices in France, where they're located. So they stuck with local (or at least European) talent. Although, given how terrible some of the actors' American accents are, I'm really curious why Jacqui Ainsley's (British) voice wasn't used for Madison. Why record an actual American for Madison alone?
All things considered, they should've really just set the game in Europe somewhere. It'd make a lot more sense, going beyond their accents and including even word choices and stuff. GamesRader hits the nail right on the head with that "wasteland" reference. I heard "wasteland" and thought about Fallout and other post-apocalyptic deserts, and then I realized that made no sense. The only thing I could come up with that might be what they meant is a landfill. Turned out that was wrong too, which I found out after Jayden's intro scene. That area is not something that would've come into my mind for "wasteland," like, ever.![]()
its worth buying. its a short game, but because of the multiple choices and endings its worth going back for more. plus theyre releasing DLC i think today that fleshes out the story. just dont judge it by the first hour or two.Sooooo.....renter or buyer?
i could be wrong, but i think i remember hearing the first two DLCs will be about Madison and Jayden.I hope...
they flesh out Ethan's story and explain his blackouts and why he awakens with Origami figures in his hand. Right now it makes no freaking sense.
OK, cool. Thanks for the recommendation. I actually found the game on Craigslist for $40. The ad said that he/she had already beaten it. I bet that $40 that he/she didn't get all of the endings. So his/her loss is my gain.its worth buying. its a short game, but because of the multiple choices and endings its worth going back for more. plus theyre releasing DLC i think today that fleshes out the story. just dont judge it by the first hour or two.
yeah i always felt Madison was kinda shoehorned in [BLACKOUT]just to have an excuse to have naked chick in a gameThat's good. Madison seemed kind of like a cipher to me. It didn't feel like she had much characterization; she was basically an appendage to Ethan in their scenes together and working solely to help Ethan when she was on her own.
I wonder if they will explain why Jayden uses the ARI. Or why the FBI gives it to their Agents in the first place, if it can cause hallucinations or massive brain damage. Hell, he even bleeds out of his eyes.
I'm thinking it was a combination of overuse mixed with drug addiction. Used in moderate I'd assume it wouldn't be that bad.
By the way, is the DLC episode up yet? I haven't checked
they made it seem like those glasses werent exactly government issue, and to counteract the effects of prolonged use meant taking a drug that got worse for you the more you used it.
Really? When did they say or imply that? I don't remember anything like that
well no, they never come outright and say it. thats just what i took away from it. he gets sick and his nose bleeds after working with the glasses, your given a choice whether to take the drug or not, and he has that vision/hallucination warning him about both.
Vision/hallucation? You mean the bartender guy or did I miss something
i think so. he put on the glasses, was in his virtual office, and a man stood there pretty much saying hes killing himself.
Ah, I didn't know that was suppose to be an hallucination.
Over a week after release and QD still hasnt fixxed the bugs. With FF XIII coming out in a few days, it looks like I'll be skipping Heavy Rain until the summer. Sucks bc I was so excited about it and have been waiting months for its release
