Well it’s a new Hellraiser film that at least gets a streaming debut, which is mostly on par with direct-to-dvd these days, which is pretty well where Hellraiser has been for the last 18 years or so, so I’d say it’s got about a 50/50 shot of being a at least watchable.

In the days of theatrical-only, sure. In the streaming age, I think anything goes. It’s like the wild west.

I don’t think we’re talking about it being a streaming release, but more why they haven’t released a trailer yet when it’s released in just a couple of weeks.

I guess they are following the Netflix model of “release the trailer a week before it comes out otherwise people will forget it exists.” It’s flawed logic at best, but that’s streaming for you.

This actually looks pretty awesome and I'm already loving Jamie Clayton's voice as Pinhead. Hopefully, the quality of this movie matches the trailer because its been a while since we've had a good Hellraiser movie.

I’ll admit, this kind of horror film isn’t usually my thing, but this looks great. Definitely a day one watch for me.

Also, the writers for this definitely inspire a lot of confidence that this will be good. They did a Evangelion podcast and occasionally interjected a lot of really interesting thoughts about film and shows occasionally, usually in reference to their inspiration on the show they were watching. They definitely know their stuff.

Speaking of which, wonder if we’ll get any visual homages to Evangelion in this film in some way, considering how big of fans they are? They’ve mentioned how they occasionally like to do that with the films that they make.
