Right... I understand that, but there is no distinction between a redneck accent and a southern accent, this is because you can find redneck types in any place. There is no one type of redneck accent.

I would argue that point, although not heartily. There are similarities and commonalities shared amongst almost all Rednecks, regardless of region. But you do have a point in the observation that my example was regional.

Hmm I guess look at Redneck as a deformed or mangled version of the regional Southern accent, but sharing in common traits regardless of area.
