long time lurker new to boards and i have a request. could some manip this maskhttp://fanartexhibit.files.wordpress.com/2009/07/green_lantern_still.jpg onto one of the new pics of ryan in uniform please :)

I don't think it would be that hard to merge this GL and the new Superman franchise into the same universe. Nolan's Batman won't mix. But Batman teaming up with guys who fly in space always seemed...forced to me in the comics, as well.
There are sort of two Batmen in the comics. One that runs around in Gotham swinging from a grappling hook fighting villains like The Joker and The Riddler, and one that flies around in a Batplane along with powerhouses like Superman holding his own against galaxy-destroying villains like Darkseid.

It's a testament to the character that he can be so versatile.

It's the CGI that some people are skeptical of, but no one is complaining about the Green Lantern suit design.

Speaking of which, I wonder when all of the Bale and Reynolds manips start popping up.

I just wish he would comb his f'n hair other then that it's great I even like the mask and the lack of white gloves is fine because I now understand how it wouldn't have worked and would have looked forced and out of place with the rest of the movie suit

Yeah, it's only really that shot that looked bad to me. There were several quite impressive, or at least acceptable shots. That one has some off coloring, and looks a little awkward to me.

Liking the suit design though.

The CGI looks pretty great, or at least solid throughout the trailer to me. The only complain I have is the "collar" of the suit needs to be different. It just goes from flesh to green... if they just make it look like it's separate, I'll have no real complaints.

I want the replica ring SHH got in the mail hardcore, where does he live? ( insert evil grin )

I'm not thrilled with the suit. It's not so much the costume as it is the CGI looks extremely bad. I realize they aren't finished, but it looked horrible in the trailer. On the other hand some of the other scenes looked great.

People waited until after the movie was out-and had been out for a while-to start knocking the TDK suit. The GL suit started drawing fire before we even had a trailer.

hahahahahaha, no. folks were ripping the tdk suit apart from the first picture. same with the begins suit, or maybe you don't remember "teh puffy"

No kidding. How do you limit the sci-fi aspect of a story where a guy gets a cosmic ring from a dying alien?

Slightly O/T, but was Hal ever a womanizing *****e in the comics?

That is the kind of a**hole fanboy that ruins it for the rest of us I am going to punch him in the gut so hard if I see him, total haymaker to the stomach he'll probably start throwing up

I didn't come across as many early protests in Batman's case.
well that's not really a fair assessment then is it. i haven't heard any complaints about the new x-men movie, but i'm sure there are plenty
