NBC has posted a new series of videos centering around Knox past history and struggle with getting out of the gang life and his relationship with Matt during his days as a police officer. Here ya go:

Chapter One - "Choices": http://www.nbc.com/Heroes/video/clips/hard-knox-choices/895021/

Chapter Two - "Get Straight": http://www.nbc.com/Heroes/video/clips/hard-knox-get-straight/895022/

These were originally suppose to be part of episode eight, "Villains," this season. My only question: Why did they leaves these out?! It established a good backstory for Knox and fleshed his character out a little more instead of him just being a one dimensional henchman then killing him off.

He and Matt have a great chemistry together and they could have easily crafted a great redemption story for him towards the end of this season and follow up with his character for Fugitives, where he would have fit PERFECTLY!

Why did they throwaway a great actor (If you've seen The Wire) like Jamie Hector?!! Wasted potential writers! Great Job!! :whatever:

Wasted potential? What else do you expect from the writers of Heroes? :whatever: [/Gilpesh]

While it sounds good, I remember Knox being played up quite a bit as a huge baddie back during S2. I was disappointed with what we got from him, and honestly if they went down this "redemption" route or whatnot, I would have only been slightly less disppointed. Knox really should have been a harsh, evil gang leader somewhere out of the whole Petrelli power struggle story who was just ****ing up the lives of innocent helpless people via gang violence like it was implied at first, but alas...

Knox was another wasted character. I don't care to invest any thing else into that character:o Pass.

I would have liked if he also was one of the fugitives in volume 4.

yes, why did he have to die?
I liked him :(

I have to admit, I hated the character. He was so one-dimensional, and I thought his power was stupid (all that huffing and puffing and all the references to him getting strong from people's fear). However, these deleted scenes make me like him a little more. Too little, too late, though. Too bad. The only problem I would have had with these being included in the show is that in a previous episode, Knox and Matt didn't seem to recognize each other, which I would have expected if they had a history. Unless the writers changed that too.

Meh. It really doesn't matter at this point. Just another wasted throw away character, like any character on this show who isn't Parkman, Nathan, Sylar, Peter, Hiro, HRG, or Claire. Death means nothing on this show because the main characters are all guaranteed safe where as new and interesting characters are killed off with minimal development.

That said, Knox isn't a big loss. He was too powerful anyway. It was like Juggernaut, he is practically invulnerable once someone fears him.
