Everyone wants a love interest.. unless you like being forever alone. Superheroes aren't priests or nuns.

Because nuns and priests are the only ones who don't get involved in long-term relationships. Actually, I'd argue that, given the way most of those vigilantes and heroes live their lives, it doesn't make much sense for them to have stable and healthy relationships. Batman, especially. It's puzzling that, being so devoted to other aspects of his life, he would even consider getting into relationships, like he does in some comics.

And even if Steve dies, I'd like to see WW staying loyal to that love she had with him. I've known few people who lost their loved ones very early and never remarried or got into another relationship, which is something I respect. True, WW living much longer makes things a bit different, but if there's something a work of fiction tries to sell us all the time, it's the romantic notion of "one true love".

If Steve dies/there isn't a modern Steve, I wouldn't mind her having another love interest (as long as it's not Batman or Superman!). However, I'd like to see some conflict because she still remembers him and all that, can't get over it etc.

But it's hard to give her another love interest that is just a regular guy. Nemesis was the closest to working in the comics but just because he was basically turn into a revamped Steve. But he just isn't iconic to actually use in the movies...

I don't mind her having a second love interest down the line per se. Though, if Steve dies, I would prefer seeing the character going through a film without a shoehorned love interest for once (same goes for Batman), but I'm definitely very against big seven getting into relationships with each other.

With the exception of Batman and Superman's superfriends with benefits one, of course. :o

Because long-term relationships are the only kind of relationships? Relationships don't have to be long to be stable or healthy. There are many kinds of relationships that can be healthy, and the vast majority of people do have love interests because it's natural and healthy to not be alone.

But that's what love interests in films are.

Love interests in films are long-term relationships?

No disrespect to Gal Gadot or the wonder Woman character
But I really hope Chris Pine finds himself another franchise to call home. He's been in Star Trek, but those are his biggest/most well known roles by far. He recently tried to re start Jack Ryan, but that flopped. And I see a lot of negative reaction to the Star Trek 3 trailer.
The guy's a good actor, and I'd like to see him in more good movies.

What does being in a franchise have to do with making "good movies"? How do you know that this won't be a good movie? Last time I check Chris picks the roles he wants to be in

Calm down, everyone. I think he just meant to say he hopes Chris finds another franchise as a lead actor, which doesn't mean bailing out of WW. Like saying Amy Adams should star in more movies as the lead besides being Lois.

I hope that he meant something like that.

I just meant Chris Pine has had a hard time finding good/successful movies to be in

I like Chris Pine and I too hope that he has hits outside of Star Trek. I like that he signed up for Wonder Woman.

Diana & Steve forever! (maybe with a little Io action on the side, wink-wink) :ilv:

@geetard

As Silliminite correctly noticed:

The last para contains an F-bomb. Gonna have to black-out that part.

I'd hate it if another good poster is to get an infraction for trying to contribute to this place.

I love Pine's enthusiasm. I've liked Pine since the first Star Trek in 09.

And yes, welcome SteveTrevor to Superhero Hype.

Thanks!

Seriously, Pine can make a so so character interesting to watch in even his sub par movies. Imagine what he will do with a character like Steve Trevor :ilv:

Agreed. It was a happy day when Pine was confirmed as Trevor! I predict he'll do a crazy good job!
