i hope to dear God he tested well with Gal. last thing i want is coup casting things where the actors have zero chemistry on screen

but if its is true

we have our Steve!! :gngl: :ww:

Never thought I'd be living in a world where Clint Eastwood's son is WW's boyfriend but if he's got half the grit of his dad, I guess I can see it. Outta left field though.

Jesus was Batman. Weirder things have happened. :sly:

Interesting. I've seen a few of the films that he's appeared in, but don't remember noticing him. To be fair, they were minor roles.

He's got a good look for Steve Trevor. I would have liked someone with a little more experience to provide a counter-balance for Gal Gadot's limited experience, but based on their other casting, DC could have presumably gone with a bigger name if they wanted to. Hopefully he was cast because they recognise his talent or because of some amazing chemistry between himself and Gal.

I guess it means that we're getting the ARGUS agent version of Trevor rather than the pilot version, although the two may not be mutually exclusive. I only read the solo New52 "Wonder Woman" title and not New52 "Justice League", so I'm not sure how Diana and Steve met in that continuity. I'm guessing that they kept some aspect of the traditional origins with Steve appearing on the island and the contest to find the Amazon's champion, although given some of the actions of the Amazons in the solo title, maybe not.

There's no way of saying for sure that they are going for a version of Trevor, IF Eastwood is cast (it's still a rumor at this point) that lines up with current comics. I mean, MOS is the only thing we have from the DCCU so far and how much does it line up with New 52 Superman? No trunks? That's about it. We as fans need to start realizing that the VERY small audience of current Marvel/DC comics means that they probably won't be lining up exactly from page to screen. (Lord knows, despite what Marvel Zombies say, that the MCU sure isn't some exacting recreation of the books). Could they go with ARGUS Trevor and him being liaison with the JL? Sure could. Just as easily they could go another way. More likely they will mix and match the various eras and continuities for the film universe.

I'm not against this casting, I don't really know anything about him. I'm def gonna support the WW film until I'm given a reason to do otherwise. But I know some had theorized since they went with a relative unknown for WW, they'd fill the major supporting roles with big names to get butts into seats. Sounded great. Except WW only has a limited number of major supporting characters. Will be interesting to see who else snags those roles.

At any rate, it's cool that Suicide starts filming soon, followed by WW and then JL. And then, and then. Hopefully Warner gets all this right. Fingers crossed.

Yeah, for Hippolyta, Artemis/Aleka, Etta Candy, Julia and Vanessa ect. they hopefully will pull in some bigger names. WW has a challenge, especially given the films being released around it.

It definitely needs some big names to draw some people in, but I think the lack of female led blockbusters both in general and around it's release date (the closest I see are Beauty and the Beast and Divergent, but both are in March) will give it at least some advantage particularly with female movie goers. Whatever happens, just hopefully it's well made and successful.

I saw Fury but I don't remember Eastwood in it. Hopefully he's a solid actor, he sure looks the part.

This is the one thing that is giving me pause... That no one seems to remember Eastwood in the things he's been in. Though to be fair, he's never had a huge part in the films he's been in that have been released.

Unfortunately the same could be levelled at Gadot. Not sure casting super stars around her in her own film will help. I wonder how much input the WW director had in selecting Eastwood if this turns out to be true and if he will even appear in WW.

What, other than the FF films has Gadot been in for the American audience to judge one way or the other though? I can't name anything off the top of my head, that I've seen, and the things I have seen are far from disqualifying (or qualifying for that matter).

Why more established?

Well, I'd prefer them to do it similarly to castings of Henry Cavill and Amy Adams as Clark and Lois, to have a bigger name opposite a "newcomer", which Gal Gadot at this point is. It's all "IMO", of course.

I admit that I've seen Scott Eastwood in few films only and mostly in minor roles, so he might prove to be a better actor than what I've come to think of him from seeing these films. There is a possibility.
And I sort of want him to prove that way, as I've nothing but huge respect for his father. :woot:

Yes?

I hope he is Steve, and I have no doubt the :ww: movie will cats bigger names for Ares, Hippolyta, Zeus etc. Or possibly Cheetah or whomever might be the villain.

She had small parts in Knight and Day and Date Night. Neither parts being memorable. It will be interesting to see her progression as an actress in the two upcoming films before BvS.

posted this in another forum but i think this is relevant here too:

.... so IF Scott Eastwood is Steve Trevor and he's part of the SS movie and the SS movie is set in present day-- so Steve Trevor + Diana Prince = present day romance?

... because i keep hearing about a period piece with Diana and Steve a while back for the WW movie.

i was just thinking... if for whatever reason they need to show Diana's slow aging process they could call in a favor with Scott's papa? :woot: Gal's Diana and Clint's Steve could be something to behold yknow

If the 1920s rumor is true, when the MOS world engine happened, perhaps it not only caused Steve to crash through the island's mystical barrier, but also caused some sort of temporal displacement so he went back in time and crashed onto PI back in the 20s. Would be an interesting twist, if done right. Although I'd rather Trevor find himself in the 40s fighting Nazis (and Ares) alongside WW.

As for Clint Eastwood, heck yeah, bring him into the dccu as Trevor's father. Huge get!

Eastwood and Gadot look good together, I'll say that much. If Scott does have the Steve Trevor role, maybe a studio exec saw The Last Ride and suggested him for the part?

I know Nicholas Sparks movies aren't the best ones to showcase your acting credentials, but hey...

A name like Cate Blanchette would be cool. I trust Maclaren. :oldrazz:

A name like Monica Bellucci would be perfect. :p

Looks like Eastwood is it. I think it works definitely. Diana should appear a little more mature than him due to her being around for so long.

They are a good way to get a female fanbase.
