What if Scott is Steve Trevor Jr., the liaison, in Suicide Squad and Sr., the pilot, in WW. If the multiple time periods rumor/theory is true what if Clint plays aged Sr. in present day scenes in WW?

I don't really get why Steve would be in Suicide Squad, tho

If he's Steve then the connection is the U.S. Government. Or he could be someone that served with Rick Flagg jr.

Or he could be working with Amanda Waller. He's affiliated with ARGUS in the New 52.

The fact (or I guess rumor, lol) Trevor's in SS means the PTB are connecting the dots between these movies, which is awesome. And really, with WW solo filming after SS, why not acquaint audiences with this character? Pretty danged smart.

The thing about Clint Eastwood is that he doesn't really appear in anyone else's movies. He stopped doing that decades ago when he formed his own company, Malpaso. He only makes his own films these days. It's not like he plays parts in other movies, particularly big commercial blockbuster ones.

Now if he did change his tune and started doing something different, that would be a huge get, but as far as I'm aware, that's just not Clint Eastwood's style. After all, when has anyone ever seen Eastwood in someone else's blockbuster? The man is practically a law unto his own in Hollywood.

Plus, I always found it a bit creepy, even as a kid, that Lynda Carter's WW dated Steve Trevor in the first season set in the 40s, and then was with his son during the modern episodes. I realize that show was innocent and there were no love scenes, but the affection was apparent.

I think they should include Diana Rockwell Trevor story in the movie. She was Steve's mom.

In "Challenge of the Gods", the second arc from Perez, the story is told that Diana Trevor was a US pilot in the WWII, in the "WASF" division (allusion to the WASP, Women Airforce Service Pilots). After the war ended, she became a test pilot and went to test a Sabre Jet. There was a storm and she ended up crashing on Paradise Island. At the same moment, the Amazons were being attacked by a monster trying to escape from Hades through the gates they guarded. Diana went to help and saved Phillipus by shooting the creature, but she ended up dying trying to help the Amazons close the gate. Then she was honoured as an Amazon. Diana was named after her, and the pistol used for the bullets and bracelets were hers. WW costume was based on the colors Diana Trevor had with her (an american flag), and the WW symbol was based on the WASF logo.

They could adapt this story in the movie. The movie could actually start with that. Diana Trevor leaving Steve (who would be around 5 years old) to test the jet, then crashing on the Island, introducing the Amazons. We see the time pass, learning that Diana (WW) sees Diana Trevor as a hero, is inspired by her. After some more scenes on the Island, we go back to grown Steve Trevor, going on a mission on the same location his mom disappeared. Maybe he wants to know what happened, or maybe he is reluctant and afraid. Anyway, when he crashes on the Island, Diana get to know he is Diana Trevor's son and decides to help return him to the outside world.

It's perfect for the way CBMs like to connect everything, not to mention the emotional connection between Steve, his mom, and WW, and the "uniqueness" of a male character having his mom as a motivation (it usually is the father). Also, it's the best explanation there is about why WW's costume is an american flag.

Yessir!

Eastwood seems like a good choice as Trevor...looks wise and has decent acting chops from the recent films he was in.

I hope he is Steve, and I have no doubt the :ww: movie will cats bigger names for Ares, Hippolyta, Zeus etc. Or possibly Cheetah or whomever might be the villain.

I agree with you!

Scott Eastwood On Joining 'Suicide Squad' Cast-

Here he kind of avoids answering the question about him playing Steve Trevor but does not deny it either.

The guys is seriously handsome. Gal is a lucky gal to be working alongside him if he is indeed Steve Trevor.

Whelp I can't blame them. Haha. He kinda reminds me of Hugh Jackman a bit.

im taking this as confirmation that he's Steve :woot: the way he was cagey and annoyed at the reporter trying to weasel and WW/ JL news from him :funny:

I agree. And her approach is annoying. She sounds like a robot asking questions or a person interrogating a prisoner in a dark room.

Does this “confirmation” have implications for the theory that the WW solo movie will be set in the 20s or 40s? If Trevor is a modern character (in Suicide Squad) then he’s obviously not around in 20s/40s. But if he is going to be in the solo movie, that means it’ll be contemporary. Yes? No?

:hmm

Scott is not Steve Trevor.

Casting happened yesterday.. involving 4 actors.
Sources tell Variety that test offers were set to go out to four actors for one of the male leads films on Monday. It had been rumored that the role Scott Eastwood had nabbed for “Suicide Squad” was Steve Trevor, the love interest of Wonder Woman, but sources now say that is not true and that the four actors testing would be for the role of Trevor.

It's possible that even if the bulk of a solo Wonder Woman movie was set in the past, then it may be bookended by scenes in "present day".

For example, Diana/Wonder Woman could be briefing Steve Trevor about her past exploits/heroics. Or Steve Trevor might be compiling all historical accounts about Wonder Woman's past appearances. Or some "villain" from Wonder Woman's past may return in the present day which requires substantial "flashbacks" to their past encounter/s, but ends in an epic showdown in the present day.

If they really intend to show Wonder Woman as an immortal, then maybe we'll see her adventures thousands of years ago and at multiple times in the past (i.e. 1920s AND 1940s) to establish the existence of "Wonder Woman" as part of some sort of mythology recognised in various cultures throughout the world.

A fair point.
