He's got a date with an Angel... Chris Pine IS Steve Trevor!

Chris Pine is Steve Trevor.. Thoughts?

  • He will rock!! Just look at that couple!

  • Don't like the casting

  • I expected him for some other role

I put the first manip on a crash site background because that's what I was going for with the look and the reason he is injured.

I really think the photography of the movie could benefit from being like a period piece, even if the movie is set on the present day. Something like WWII movies or Indiana Jones. At least on the Island.

As for his hair, I also don't care too much, but I prefer the way it turned out to be on my manips. But the blonde hair has to look natural, not too bright.

And if they leave it up to him... then I'd expect him to want to dye his hair, because it seems he isn't too conservative about changing his look and he would be filming Star Trek really close, so...

I have to say I never watched anything with him, but I've been seeing some interviews and I like him. He also has a great voice.
I also think he has more of a good guy look than Eastwood, and deadly sexy at the same time. I'm pretty excited about this. Really hope it's true.

Watch Into the Woods, best acting from him IMO.

If he dyied his hair blonde to differenciate from Star Trek then it wouldn't make sense, cause Kirk has blonde hair.

They're not dyeing his hair. They didn't do so for Aquaman (not entirely, that is), they might not do so for Flash, and they will most certainly not do it for Steve Trevor, which is unknown to most non-comic readers and only vaguely familiar to many comic readers.

Besides, character has been depicted as dirty blond/brown as well and Pine is pretty much already there with his natural hair color.

You got it wrong. Not to differentiate, but to be the same for the two movies. Maybe it's just a dumb idea IDK :o

They didn't dye Momoa's hair because they want to go with a certain direction. He still has blonde streaks.

I can certainly see Pine dyeing his hair, specially because that's another movie with another director, another crew... But like you said, it isn't a big deal and his hair is bright enough. I just think he looks better as Steve that way.

Complains would come... Oh why Kirk appeared in WW? I doubt it :p
Maybe he has buzzcut and we don't notice much of his hair :woot:

That is true. Well, I at least hope they are blond, it is hard to tell from the filtered photo.

Still, Pine dyed his hair for "Star Trek" because he was playing a younger version of particular well-known character, so he had to look as closest as possible to him. I don't see such necessity for the role of Steve Trevor.

What's with this guy and playing characters with two first names?

Nice casting, though.

Is Pine the latest Trevor rumor? I'd be fine with that, if true. He's charming enough and would help bring more interest to the movie.

It's not a rumor. He's in "final" talks (he won Gadot and the production in a meeting)

Yes. Which is why this film is now going to have Stephanie Trevor instead, the whole Chris Pine thing is just a smokescreen. :o

Between this and people saying "a love interest for Wonder Woman? They are ruining it by turning the movie into a chick flick!!!"... I don't know how Superman stick with the "hope" thing :cmad:

This reminds me of Lyta. Steve and Diana having a child in a last movie is my ultimate dream.

Omg. Totally agree. Would love for a child by Diana and Steve to be explored on the big screen. Wow.

Seems like the passion flame between them might be igniting again in the comics. :ilv:

Love this panel and I can't wait to see Gadot and Pine bring on this type of chemistry and dynamic to the DCCU. :ilv:

They would only get the chance at a public event. His ppl won't comment if they are still negotiating.

By the time this type of news gets to the trades....it is usually already a done deal.

I think Pine is locked!

I hope they return. They are like Lois and Clark. Unbreakable.

I hope so :mrk:

Pine can be really funny in interviews, and I hope that his Trevor allows for some fun nd humorous moments, without draining him of any general appeal by going too far into slapstick or "wussing" the character out.
