Darn. I really wanted someone adorable and quirky like Jane for Harley and a bombshell like Margot for MJ.

Anyway, I'm sure Margot would have no problem pulling off Harley's thick Brooklyn accent after WoWS. Impressive cast indeed.

Might all be true, but it seems WB are playing bit of a game here.

Yeah, I suppose we just have to deal with it...and I'm not going to lie, I'm a bit pissed if Margot is Harley. I can understand people being happy, but Jane was my favourite for that role and it was the case for a lot of people. Nearly 2 years I've rallied for her. I'm just going to have to get used to it.

The only thing I can do is not go see this movie. Might not make any difference to WB that they haven't received my little ticket money, but I'll be completely satisfied to know I'm not paying or supporting the piece of ****

I can see political issues about superheroes and supervillains being part of it, but that part interests me a lot. Will they use the movie to "blow up" the film DCU and say "all these villains, etc, already exist"?

It was originally anounced by Goyer as being separate to the JL movies. (along with Shazam, Sandman, etc)

Who knows if that's still the case. I wouldn't be surprised if it was separate though, nor will I really mind.

I hope Suicide Squad is rated R. This is a movie about a bunch of murderous villains working together. I love Guardians of the Galaxy but I hope they go in the opposite direction for Task Force X. Gimme violence, sex, foul language. Make this the "adult section" of the DC movie universe lol

Batman isn't going to be portrayed as that old, and there is zero chance that we will ever get a Jokers' daughter, let alone before Harley Quinn, c'mon.

Personally I think casting big name actors is a mistake because 1) You'll see the actors first and the character second and 2) The premise of them being villains will be lost because it will be hard to see Will Smith (for example) as anything other than heroic.

For Captain Boomerang I think Aussie actors Ben Mendelsohn (The Dark Knight Rises, Killing Them Softly, The Place Beyond the Pines, Starred Up) or Noah Taylor (Shine, Tomb Raider, Almost Famous, Lawless, Game Of Thrones) would be great.

Boomerang is usually portrayed as the mouthy as**** of the team.

My only issue is: When it comes to their role on the team, just how different is Black Manta from Deathstroke?

As for Captain Boomerang, if they presumably go with Digger, an actual Australian would be best, but if he could get the accent right, Boris McGiver (Person of Interest, Lincoln, House of Cards) would be good as a non-Aussie option.

I believe that Warners is throwing names out there while trying to attract other talent. Look at it like this, if you're an A-list actor then you're looking for projects with credibility. Throwing these names out gives the project that credibility. I think that Tom Hardy would be a fantastic Lawton though.

Hopefully we'll get some unknowns in here. Suicide Squad seems like it could be the type of movie to launch careers. But it will definitely need some recognizable faces to get non-fans interested.
