He's The Secret Weapon... David Ayer IS the Director and Script Writer

Will smith has been in like 25 movies, Jaden has been in 2 of those. I don't know how Will being Black Manta suddenly means Jaden will be Aqualad

Heh, I think it has to do with Will Smith's pull on projects more than anything.

He won't be. Young Justice is dead and the comics don't even use him anymore. If there is an Aqualad, pretty positive it'll be Garth.

If DC can remember he existed once since they took pride in exterminating the Titans' history and themselves.

I'm sure that won't be a problem. After all their CCO made it his business to name drop Garth during his recent Aquaman run.

After seeing John Wick (awesome movie), I wouldn't mind if if WB tried getting Keanu Reeves for this movie.

Doesn't mean we'll actually get him back proper, will we? Knowing his co-horts, they'll either racebend him as well or pull a John Blake by taking bits of Garth, Kaldur and Jackson Hyde

I don't care what race he is as long as if he is called Garth he has purple eyes. My point is objectively speaking Geoff Johns has Orm reference that kid a year ago. Obvious set up for him to encounter Arthur down the line and become his protege under Jeff Parker, Dan Jurgens, Johns himself in his future Aquaman/Justice League arc or whoever else wants to tell that story.

When Aqualad is introduced in the New 52 it's likely going to be Garth because he's been foreshadowed. He has also been firmly established to exist on Earth Prime. As opposed to Jackson Hyde/Kaldur who doesn't even exist anymore in comics or animated form. Since Geoff Johns is also the guy who brings a lot of his ideas to the media adaptations I expect to see his ideas on the screen more than any other comic book writer. I mean the Aquaman movie is rumored to pretty much be an adaptation of Johns' introductory Trench story.

Who so ever direct this, This would surely be a deadly movie! Love Dead shot to see on big screen.

I can't stop thinking about this movie. I just have a feeling that it's going to become one of my favorites. I don't have a lot of experience with the Suicide Squad, but I recognize that it has the potential to be a very intriguing film.

This could be really awesome, no matter who they put on the team. Give me Suicide Squad over Sinister Six any day....

I'd like to see Deathstroke, Deadshot, Harley, Captain Boomerang, and Black Manta on the team. That would be a promising lineup. I could take or leave Deathstroke, though.

as Deathstroke :wow: it'd be sooo awesome

Deadshot: Tom Hardy
Deathstroke: Keanu Reeves
Manta: Will Smith
Harley: Margot Robbie

ahhhhh dat cast :hrt:

The Hollywood Reporter said:
Dealmaking is a little bit tricky on this one as Robbie is also in talks to star in The Suicide Squad, Warners’ DC-based movie being directed by David Ayer. Ayer is currently writing the script although that movie wouldn't shoot until spring of 2015

Ayer is currently writing the script I guess

Black Manta: Will Smith/Keith David/Morris Chestnut
Harley Quinn: Margot Robbie/Judy Greer
Deadshot: ??
Deathstroke: ??
Captain Boomerang: ??
Amanda Walker: Yvette Nicole Brown/Queen Latifah

Saw MOST of Fury today. Great film making, great story, great cast. I am 100% on board for this director. And may I add... Pitt for Col. Rick Flagg jr.

WB did the smart, hiring Ayer for this movie. I think he's the perfect fit. I can't wait to know who will be in the team. I really think having Harley could be interesting, because it could also hint at this new joker's existence, without needing to show him yet.

Though obviously not super villains, I really liked how the writing in Fury allowed for the protagonists to be very unlikeable a lot. This bodes well for the Squaf. They aint heroes.

Ayer ain't not afraid to show you how ugly people can be, and still making them the protagonists. He's the perfect fit for this project.

Surprisingly, I haven't seen this name pop up in the conversation as much.

She probably wouldn't be able to do it, because she had to quit Community to take care of her father, but I think she would knock it out of the park.
