Lets say you're a member of a high profile team in either big name comic universe. DC or Marvel, the Avengers or the JLA.

What threats would you actively go after? Would you not pursue threats and simply act on ones as they occured?

Who would it be? Despero? Darkseid? Madgod 3600? Nero? Neron? Sinestro?

Who and why?

Wouldn't matter I'd help where I'm needed.

Point Taken Deemar
as for hiest priority i'dsay apocolyps

Joker is so damn chaotic. I'd have to actively go after him.

Doom should be the priority of our 616 Neo-Con government.

Hell. He's way more dangerous than Sadam.

:doom: :doom: :doom:

Oh come on, since when do neocons go after anyone who's actually any kind of threat?

I'd take the roll of Jury Judge and Executioner into my own hands, and slowly kill off any serious threat I came across. None of this "subdue them only to have them escape again" thing.

Seriously, the people of the world would love it, the heroes would hate it, and I'd turn myself in to whatever punishment they deem for me after I completed my job.

didnt nick fury list who he thought was the biggest threat was? in that one shot about him.

I'd go after the crime Lords Wilson Fisk, Hammerhead, Doom

As a member of the JLA or the Avengers, you'd pretty much have to be reactionary. They rarely if ever go looking for trouble, they keep the status quo. Now, a group like the Outsiders, or say, the Invaders should be the ones that go looking for trouble so to speak. It depends on how far the team is willing to go really. I'd eliminate every threat if I could. From Lex Luthor on down to Stilt Man.

I think I'd keep the teams reactionary but encourage the individual heroes to apprehend their respective foes. Spider-Man could be out hunting down the Shocker and Venom the majority of the time, but if an alien invasion comes calling, he's gotta come help out.

Well, the criteria highest prioriy would probably be:

1) An individual, organization, or militant/military force that are wanted by the authorities and thus can be brought to justice quickly and effectively. Doom, because of his diplomatic immunity, pre IC Lex, and other such figures who you wouldn't simply be able to hand over to the police or the feds, would obviously require much more long term planning and investigations to succesfully bring down, and would keep you occupied when more imediate good could be done.

2) Someone or something that poses an exceptionally high risk to human life. If The Riddler kidnaps someone on the same day that Mongul threatens to decimate France, you head over to Paris.

3) A threat that could not be dealt with by others, or at least could seriously use your assistence. The Joker, while insane and dangerous, is just a human. If you have to choose between him and Alexander Nero, you let the cops deal with The Joker.

Where did this happen? Last I saw him was in his cell licking his wounds from Spider-Man's tussle with him...that being about a month ago our time.
The Back in Black arc in the Amazing Spider-Man happened before The Devil Takes A Ride in Daredevil, even though Fisk has been for quite sometime now (Daredevil #93, I think).

Basically Fisk's wife offer's Matt a deal. She would make it look like Matt was set up by the FBI and he would have his old life back, basically making Daredevil the O.J. Simpson of the Marvel Universe.

However in return, he had to help Fisk get out of jail. He didn't agree to it, but Vanessa went through with her part, so Matt felt obliged to do his part.

In return of getting his charges dropped, Fisk had to leave the United States and lose his American citizenship.

I remember all that, I subscribe to DareDevil, but because we never heard from Kingpin after that arc and since 'Back in Black' had him in prison I just assumed Matt screwed him over.

Didn't you read the tiny little box that said that this all occurs before Daredevil #93?

Selective viewing I guess. They've been back (sparingly) for the last couple of years.

Well with threats you'd have:

Cosmic Scale: The type of threat that could potential destroy multiple worlds/ multiple galaxies.

Abraxas
Anihilus
Beyonder
Celestials
Dark Phoenix
Galactus
Immortus
Kang
Korvac
Mephisto
Molecule Man
Thanos

Global Scale: They type of threat that may take an entire a team to take down, or a group of teams.

Apocalypse
Count Nefaria
Doctor Doom
Magneto
The Mandarin
Moleman
Red Skull
Ultron

Local scale: The type it'll take at least one superhuman to defeat.

Carnage
Doctor Octopus
Green Goblin
Juggernaut
Kingpin (through his connections)
Sabretooth

Personal Scale threats: The type that can be taken down by a lone/vigalante operative of high skill with no superpowers.

Chameleon
Bullseye
Jigsaw
Walrus

so if you hear Mole Man is in Seattle, and Jigsaw is in New York, you go to Seattle, pronto. And if Kang is attempting to kidnap the Celestial Madonna, in order to father the most powerful being in the universe, you forget the Mole Man and go fight Kang. Then if Thanos is just planning on wiping out existence period you go fight him.

Where has Count Nefarious been at? Since he broke out of prison, he has been MIA, just like half the villians who escaped. I've said this numerous times, Apocy should be a Avengers/global threat. Not just Xmen. :o

I'd like to see Apocalypse fight the Avengers too. He deserves a shot at Earth's Mightiest.

Nefaria hasn't been what he used to be for years now, sadly.

Well if we're talking DC Universe I would have to say alll of the High Priority threats would be.

Villains:
Amazo
Brainia
Cobalt Blue
C.O.M.P.U.T.O.
Cyborg Superman
Dakseid
Despero
Doomsday
Eradicator
General Zod
Lord of Time
Lex Luthor
Major Disaster
Metallo
Metron
Millennium Giants
Monarch
Nebula Man
Parasite
Parallax
Savitar
Sinestro
Star Conqueror
Superboy Prime
Zoom
QuantumMechanics

At least for the Earth bound Villains

If I were a Villain, I would be most worried about running into these...

Heroes:
Aquaman
Atom
Batman
Brainiac 5.1
Captain Atom
Captain Marvel
Doctor Fate
Firestorm
The Flash
Kyle Raynor
Hal Jordan
Hourman
Martian Manhunter
Max Mercury
M'onel
Nabu
Phantasm
Plastic Man
Power Girl
Johnny Quick
Spectre
Swamp Thing
Superman
Tempest
Waverider
Wonder Woman
Zatanna

Same goes for the Heroes, those are the biggest threats to Villains that are Earth bound or visit Earth often.
