Damn, that footage looks pretty sweet. The wait for this game is getting unbearable.

15 minutes of gameplay!! Looks pretty cool. The animations and graphics are nice, but it feels a lot like Splinter Cell: Conviction. Hopefully only SOME levels are like this.

The dialogue when he grabs the cop hostage was very nice and the chase scene with the helicopter was pretty awesome, too. I loved the part when he jumps across the buildings and the two pigeons get shot haha.

Yes they have confirmed only some levels have you "on the run" like shown in that demo.

Holy god that looks incredible. 47 looks and moves like he should, finally. I hope there are option for both lethal and non lethal take downs. The dialog within the guards was incredible. Loved the sneaking gameplay.


However, PLEASE let that not be 47's voice for the game. WTF was that!? I still can't believe they aren't bringing Bateson back. What is shaping up to be an incredible Hitman game is being marred by the exclusion of 47 himself.

How? Did you listen to 47 speak at all in the previous games? That voice doesn't match the character in the slightest. That voice seemed gruff and untamed, that is NOT who 47 is. Bateson was perfect because his voice was soothing yet could be extremely threatening.

Maybe it's because 47 is my fav fictional character but that voice doesn't match the character. It's like casting David Beckham to voice Wolverine.
 
Now you know how I feel when I hear people praising Bruce Greenwood as Batman. :)

Sure, he's good, but he's no Kevin. That voice actor in H5 is good, but he's no Bateson.

The voice actor IS American. I don't know if they'll explain why he has that accent. Or maybe he'll do his best English accent. This is assuming Stephen Russell is voicing 47.

Bruce Greenwood is amazing as Batman. If Conroy could never do it again, which I actually wouldn't mind, then Greenwood is my next pick. I don't really like Conroy's voice for Batman anymore. Maybe I've just heard it too much. But in Arkham Asylum, he didn't sound right. I'm hoping he sounds better in Arkham City.

Woah... what?? Why would Kevin never do it again? He still sounds miles better than anyone who's ever tried to play Batman. You disliked him in BAA, but liked Greenwood in UTRH? That's insane. Bruce is awesome in YJ, but he sucked in UTRH. He doesn't sound as commanding, as sophisticated or as bad-ass as Kevin... at any point in time. Kevin's performance in BAA was fantastic. You have to remember, it's not like an animated movie or TV show. There's A LOT more lines to record, and if you've ever tried voice acting, you'd know that it gets extremely tiring. Bieng in the booth for 2 4hour shifts with a break in between is exhausting. You eventually run out of juice and the lines sound more flat. It's not Kevin's fault that he's only human. If Bruce sucked in UTRH, I'd hate to hear him record a video game, especially one as big as BAA.

Why are you getting so worked up? They're just opinions dude. And I know that you're in the booth for 2-4 hours, Conroy talked about it in an interview for AA. Doesn't change the fact that I didn't like his voice as much. And I loved Greenwood in Under the Red Hood. He's up there as best Batman voice actors in my opinion. So there.
 
Bruce sucked in UTRH? I thought he was pretty good. Definitely right behind Kevin as best Batman voice actor.

I'm not getting worked up, just debating.

Yeah, 8 hours of voice acting would be hell, especially by yourself. But what didn't you like about his voice? It was just as deep and epic as it's ever been.

Yeah, he's the fifth best Batman VA, imo.

He was pretty good when talking with Dick in the cave, but terrible whenever he raised his voice.

Back to the game. Does anyone else dislike that 47 can smash someone's head in or pull someone off a ledge with no one noticing at all?

I think it drains his "Hitman meter" But still, does seem cheap.

Yeah, he sounds alright. I think it was his "Bruce mode" that I didn't like. He sounds excellent in Arkham City, though. Real good **** there.

Thats always been a problem with the games. There were things you could do that should get you noticed but didn't. I remember planting a bomb on a chandler, then detonating it and just casually walked away as if nothing happened, even tho i was the ONLY person coming from the area where the bomb just went off.

If there wasn't anyone close, whacking someone on the head wouldn't create too much of a disturbance. Hollywood tends to over exaggerate the sound a punch or other strike creates.
 
This looks absolutely incredible. Visually stunning, awesome gameplay and yet still seems to retain most of what makes Hitman the franchise it is. It's like they combined Hitman with Arkham Asylum, Assassins Creed and Splinter Cell to make one awesome ass game.

My only gripes were:
A) the ridiculously stupid "hitman vision." I'm fine with it being able to point out objects of interest a la Arkham Asylum, but showing the AI's patrol paths is ridiculous.
B) the voice. I gotta go with Pat on this one. If they were going to replace Bateson they should've at least had a voice that fits 47's character. This one was just strange to hear...like a soft, huffy voice.

Still, the game itself looks amazing. Another can't-miss title. My wallet is crying.

Every stealth game is like that, besides MGS. Ever played Deus Ex: HR? Jensen beats the hell out of the person, no one notices.

Yeah, I love every line we've heard from him in AC so far.

You dont have to activate the Instinct vision. Im gonna try to not use it for that extra challenge.

The ONLY thing i didn't like about the demo, outside of the obvious alpha gameplay is 47's terrible new voice. However, even though thats only one thing, it THE absolute most critical piece to the entire game. If you dont get 47 correct, nothing else matters. Especially considering how "personal" this game is going to be. Im just absolutely stunned that the people who created one of gamings greatest characters could mess up something like that. Obviously i need to hold off on judging before i even play the game, but damn, that voice is not 47. Period.

That's true. But try to slice someone up, people will notice right away and come looking what that noise was.
