Anyone have a scoop on this? BOFF mentioned a "parachute jump" sequence. I have visions of bats inflitrating an Asian baddie hideout by low flying aircraft (ala Hush).

Since they are here until Sept I doubt that they will be filming that in Hong Kong this week. You could argue that they would have a second unit crew do it simultaneously but Nolan directs all of the second unit stuff himself (extremely rare for a director to do on a project of this size). I am guessing the chute jump will take place somewhere outside of Chi-town, unfortunately. Though Bats in a special parachute batsuit would be cool :cwink:

I have been wondering why they go to Hong Kong at all. Nothing in what I understand of the plot hints at a reason.

Apparently Bruce goes to Hong Kong on business of some kind.

Bruce Wayne sleeps with Ziyi Zhang, lucky bastard.

I remember there was talk about Dent at a press conference claiming Batman had nothing to do with the extradition of a criminal. Plus, the actor Chin Han has been linked to the film.

I think the character's name was Mr. Lau.... or something like that.

It's to do business with Lou it appears - however once he gets to Hong Kong, Lou is still in Gotham... Dent is uneasy about Lou because of some sort of unconvicted criminal background and with the help of his lawyer Evans he negotiates a deal to give up his clients.

Obviously Wayne needs to get the info or some sort before Dent makes a move on him. Thus why Wayne is in Hong Kong.

a bussiness related trip... possibly where he gets the idea for the batpod

In the first movie they used the crappy areas of Kowloon for the Narrows sequences. I thought maybe thats why they were going there again, for some good Narrows action. Although this subplot sounds cool too. Damn this is such a huge epic movie....

............and the idea for the Reese's Pieces candy. :oldrazz:

of course, you know how those crazy asians are... he's gets sucked into the dangerous underground of street racing ala fast and furious and thinks... "i gotta put some reeses decals and nitrous on my batmobile. maybe even a batmobile crotch rocket":wow:

but in all seriousness, its possible he gets a glimpse at some exotic motorcycles over there and takes an idea back to Lucious

I heard the Narrows are loosely based on a part of the city in Hong Kong.

Yeah, Nathan Crowley based them on the now no longer existant Kowloon district of slums.

they do look like it, when i first saw BB i thought it was a "china town" of sorts

The only thing I can think of is that Crane still needs a supplier in the far east to make his fear toxin. There might be some type of subplot there that connects Hong Kong to Gotham.

I want to know why Bruce goes to see Lau in Honk Kong....and then Dent has to refute allegations that Lau was captured by Batman. ??? How does Lau tie into WayneCorp business as well moneylaundering to merit Batmans attention? Wayne Corp might inadvertantly be involved in something illegal.

It will also be weird if we see Bruce suited up as Batman in Hong Kong.

Batman in Hong Kong?

Colour me intrigued.

A Hong Kong style Batman action movie would kick ass.

Chow Yun-Fat is BATMAN!
