How about Cloak & Dagger as urban myth?

Cloak & Dagger could be a great film concept. But I wonder if it could also be told as an urban myth instead of a superhero film. Avoid the origin and focus on runaway kids, without actually revealing that Ty and Tandy are the superheroes until the end. I also think Tandy shouldn't be some privileged girl who ran away because of parental neglect. Then they just disappear with into the urban jungle before anybody makes the connection.

It could work. That idea leaves room for tons of character development, so I wouldn't mind seeing it. I would rather see them use their powers for most of the movie though. If they tell it from another person's point of view besides Cloak and Dagger's, then I'd want to at least see someone's flashbacks of C&D doing some superheroics.
