Anything happen that was a close call in your life? True stories appreciated

I was in a car accident. I hydroplaned and hit a metal pole, continued spinning into a ditch where my car flipped over.

I felt like an alien that landed because all the sudden there were like 9 cars that pulled up see if I was ok. People I don't know were screaming "Is he dead?" and "He's gotta be dead OMG!" and a couple dudes came over and reached into the mud to unhinge the door enough to get me out. I crawled out without a scratch, bruise, or anything.

While I was spinning/rolling it all felt like slow motion and I surprisingly wasn't freaking out. I was simply saying "Well I'm dying. This sucks" and I have no idea where the calm attitude came from

closest i got(not very close) was when my older bro was choking me cuz we were fighting and i was near blacking out....but then i used some extra strength and pushed him through a glass door....

And I crashed my car over a dirt pile in the road (it was on a bet and I was drunk.) . It's not the way it looks in the movies. Almost got whiplash and I had a dislocated disc in my neck. Don't try it.

I've almost fallen like a couple steps off the staircase..Especially when I moved to where I'm living now. At the beginning like on 3 occassions, I'd miss the last step and almost fly into the wall across. Quite scary.

Wow that is scary. Glad you are ok.

I was born with a heart condition called Wolf Parkinson White Syndrome, they didn't discover it until I was about 14. I played soccer, hockey, and baseball through it for years, even when I was diagnosed. I had a 4 hour surgery to correct it when I was 15 and it failed and then I had the same surgery for 8 hours when I was 18 and it was succesful. The reason I decided to have the surgery again was because my heart was beating up to 200 beats per minute for a day and a half and the doctors had to use a defibulator to finally correct it.

Closest to dying? When my best friend and me got car jacked. The didn't want us to look at them and I kinda looked at the guy with the gun. He pressed the gun to my head, pulled the hammer and started freaking out that I had looked at him. By the grace of God nothing happened to us. We lost some material things, but we got out of it alive. We later found out from the police that the youngest guy (the one with the gun) had escaped from prison for murder.
