Singer established the characters now. He seems ready to dive into the action. The actors know their parts better, and where they fell short I'm sure they also know and can correct for the sequel.

Wouldn't it be a shame if Singer and the cast did not come back? :(

I don't want WB to change anything involving the cast or the directing. Brandon is the new Superman for this generation and now that everything is properly setup the sequel has the potential to be phenomenal.

you just had to open this thread hehe :woot:

A counterpoint to the other thread I guess...

I wouldn't be disappointed at all, if anything I would celebrate! That being said the cast and director look to be coming back.

BRING ON 'SUPERMAN AND SUPERKID' AND DESTORY THE SUPERMAN FRANCHISE so we can have our superman begins in 2012.

yeah for me SUPERMAN RETURNS - BATMAN FOREVER lose sequel to the original vision new cast new look hmm accepted on a mass scale. The nest sequel will be like BATMAN AND ROBIN someone ego gets the best of him he wants to force us with his take on the character and jon peters gives us SUPERKID so kids can look up to him fighting a polar bear

I would be pretty disappointed.

I think Bryan Singer did a pretty good, and I love Bandon Routh.

I would be really disappointed if Singer did not finish what he started. The first X-men was an aveage movie, similar to how SR was. Now the sequel has so much going for it, its time to listen to the fans and give them what they want. All I can hope for is a better movie than SR and I'd be upset if a reboot was made. :super:

Yes, yes, it would. Things can only get better with Singer and his cast, and scrapping them altogether would be disastrous.

Extremely dissapointed. SR left quite a few questions that need answering.

i can wait ten years for the next round of reboots. waited about that long for a decent batman. what's another ten years.

I wouldn't be disappointed if Singer and the cast left.

Personally, I'd like to see a reboot with more Post-Crisis elements in it, and both of Clark's parents around, and not nearly as old as the Donner film and Singer's approach illustrated.

I'd also rather see an established Superman who was in his 30's, and an established Lois Lane who was of a realistic age for her accomplishments.

I'd be more disappointed if we had to wait 10/15 yrs for a reboot.

I'd cry myself to sleep. Then I'd hug my SR posters one last time, put them in a huge bottle, drive over to Malibu, park that bad Accord of mine, walk up the shoreline and let them swim with the fishies. It would only be appropriate.

I'd keep my homemade SR manties though.

I'd really not like this approach to Clark's surroundings. It would feel like some generic rip-off of Spiderman at this point. Which, is irony defined.

I would be severly dissapointed if the the same cast and crew didnt return, most notably, Singer, Harris, Dougherty and Routh.

They have now made a Superman for this generation, and i am desperate to see what they have planned next.

Well, despite Spacey, who was my fave choice for Luthor for years before SR wasn't even considered, I wouldn't mind anyone else being axed. Routh was OK in the last few minutes but overall looked just too skinny and way too young for Superman. The suit didn't help much either. He could play Aquaman or Green Arrow in the JL movie though. And Bosworth, Marsden and friggin Skeletor White??? No, thanks.

I liked Routh a lot but felt he was too young for the story Singer was telling(Superman being a father). I would have enjoyed the end speech to Jason much more if Routh didn't practically look like Tristan's brother. I was never convinced of Routh as the father of Tristan. I would have preferred an older actor for the story of SR. However, take out the kid, and for me Routh is perfect.

^I still he's perfect for it, as far as i know Superman always looks younger than he actually is.

wow, really?? Spacey is the one that I would replace, and maybe Langella. The rest I liked.

Very to answer the header question. Especially about Brandon and I don't want what happened with Donner to happen to Singer.
