Have Reed Richards and Tony Stark developed some kind of Intranet( a gated form of the Internet) whereby heroes/heroines across the world can discreetly network even if they are separated by political boundaries( pace Sabra in Israel and the Arabian Knight in Saudi Arabia)?

Just picturing Iron Man with a Shaq-esque Twitter page...

Pretty much any of the super-scientists can just hijack satellites to carry their communication transmissions, so it wouldn't really matter where they are in relation to whomever they're contacting.

Um, what about considerations of security? Wouldn't it make more common sense for them to use a mode of communication that couldn't be intercepted or "hacked into" ( as both landlines and cellular phones have been known to) such as VOIP(Voice Over Internet Protocol) technologies such as Skype( my cousin Brother Robin tells me that such calls can't be tapped into in a month of Sunday's)?

They're super-scientists. They probably secure the connections somehow. Only evil super-scientists would be able to break through their security, I imagine. There's nothing that really delves into this stuff in detail, though.
