How Do You Feel About Body Hair?

haha... welllllll, its a hairy subject eh. ;)

I am not hairy at all. I have no chest hair, no back hair, none of that and I'm in my 30s. Some people are just hairy as. My friend Ben looks like he's wearing a gorilla suit when he takes his shirt off. I mean, if I was hairy like that I'd probably shave it/wax it or whatever. For me, in terms of women, as long as the legs and armpits arent hairy, I'm fine.

I have a friend who gets teased all the time for having a "sweater vest" of hair, but his wife likes it so I guess he gets the last laugh.

Hair that can stay but must be maintained:
Underwear region

haha... eww... yeah its like in Austin Powers when that chick says "You are hairy like animal!!!" :cwink:

Body hair traps body odor, so body hair gotta go!! Clippers with no guard is just right.

I am super hairy. I trimmed my chest and stomach once, but it was super itchy and felt weird. I have shaved my arms before when I got tattoed. I shaved my legs once just to see what it was like. I constantly trim my junk area down. I refuse to not have a beard, but I recently trimed it from "homeless" to "thor in the movie thor", and I always shave off my neck beard. I constantly shave my head since I've been going bald since middle school, I am now 25. I shave the top of my feet and knuckle hair because I am scared somehow my blonde ass body hair will look like Robin Williams.

its interesting how times change right? if you watch a movie from teh 70's and maybe 80's you see some women who did not shave their armpits. but then it changed.

and now its happening the same with men. i think in 10-15 years you will be a freak if you will not be shaved on the whole body(neck,chest,legs,....) . thats the way it goes. you can thank to all those metro guys.

but if someone ever tells me that its normal for a men to have painted nails then i will kick him. i am looking at you Beckham.

I get really annoyed by the hair on my back and shoulders. I'm not that hairy in those places, but it still annoys me.

GQ right there.

If you only have scraggly hair on your face then yeah, you should shave it all off instead of embarrassing yourself. If you can grow a full beard though all you gotta do is keep it groomed. The only things I bother shaving are my cheeks and neck, because beards are manly.

My body hair is basically the equivalent of Zachary Quinto. (My face isn't nearly that hairy though as I cannot grow a full beard.) As others here have mentioned, I also keep a very 'tidy shop' down there.

Why did Goldust popped in my head when I read that? :funny:

I personally don't like body hair. I shave everything from the neck down.

I'm not sure man. Maybe I should have said that I 'manscape' down there instead. :funny:

Men with no body hair at all is very weird to me. I'm sure you look great, but it's a little too 'boyish' to me. If that makes any sense...

Well, that's more cultural than anything.

Sort of is yea, just like nearly any cosmetic traits.

But given the duality of Feminine/Masculine, more body hair is definitely a more masculine trait in nearly every culture. I don't know of any culture where the women are supposed to be harrier than the men.

I'm sure there are exceptions, but in general I think the whole shaven body look is a product of youth worship in hollywood, tv, and culture in general.

I like my hair on my body. Mostly because I'm really not that hairy to begin with. I shave my face because I can't grow a full beard. I do tidy up "down there" every once in awhile, but honestly if I'm not dating anybody I don't see what the big deal is.

:O I've never even thought of that.

.....:awesome::hrt:
I can't believe on a website like this no one has said anything about this post.
I actually shaved a bat-symbol out of my chest hair a few years back, it was awesome. :o

Did you have the symbol as bare chest or as the hair? Cause thinking about it both would be really weird looking...

On women hair doesn't bug me really. It's actually more trouble when any part is shaved and starts feeling like a cactus. I'll take the cushion, thanks.

Now as for me, besides the usual places, I don't have much chest hair and no back hair. I prefer to keep everything all natural cause I'm just old fashioned that way. I can't stand to look at myself with no facial hair. I feel like I look 12 and my girlfriend even agreed so I put the kabosh on that. Sideburns and mustache at least at all times and funny enough the GF agrees about shaving because that just makes things rough.

Now if only I could get her to come around to the Grizzly Adams look.

I'm 28, have a (groomed) beard but for the life of me cannot grow regular chest hair. I have to shave my chest cause the hair comes in so sporadically it just looks weird.

I'll only leave the hair on my legs... everything else has gotta go for sure.

Remaining hair on my chest was carved into the shape of a bat-symbol.

If you dare,
