How I Met Your Mother - Part 3

Solid opening for them, got some good scenes with everybody and I like the interactions with the Mom

That was some ending for the second episode. Probably one of the best I've seen in the whole series.

Wow.

That ending with the two of them, it's kinda stupid but I kinda got emotional watching them there. To see Ted with his future bride, it's like having one of your friends get married.

I'm going to have a hard time when Cristin's not around though, not really interested in any of the side stories tonight except the ones she was in.

I was happy to see that scene with Ted and the mother one year later. I'm guessing we'll get more of those flash fowards. I'm glad we get to see them interacting. I'd even like to see a whole episode flashed forward with those two married. Are they actually married a year from now or still just dating?

Dat Mother. Adorable.

Barney and Robin [blackout]ate his brother's chocolate ding dong[/blackout].....that...that was just awesome.

Heh. Funny that someone pointed out on TV Line that the first words we hear Ted speak to the Mother are "Hey Beautiful", which is also the theme song.

Those were some really good episodes.

They were certainly quick paced and didn't have a lot of padding to them, but I'm not too sure if that's because of the format change or because it was a 2 parter.

The plan is to fast forwards, including well into the future, where Ted looks surprisingly like Bob Saget.

I think it's also because they have a clear plan now so it doesn't feel like they're just trying to drag things out for the sake of it.

I do hope to see Cristin featuring in more of the episodes. In the 2nd part she only showed up at the end. I'm more interested to see her and Ted's story develop than the other stuff.

Also, are we going to get that annoying black woman passenger with Marshall for the whole season now? It kind of looks like it since they're making the drive to NY. I also just thought that Lily and Marshall are barely going to be having any scenes together for the majority of the season unless he gets to Farhampton mid season.

They're not going to keep Marshall from everyone else for the entire season.

Come on.

So when are we going to find out Cristin's name?

After 8 seasons that was the first interaction we ever saw with Ted and the Mother. Kinda got emotional.

You have emotions?

Pfft. What a female. :o

*quietly weeps*

Good premiere, the end of the second episode with the flash forward of him and the mother. Brilliant, touching and love Billy Joel's "Souvenir" playing during the ending great stuff.

I read somewhere that we will eventually know her name.

Well episode 20 is called "Daisy". That could be the episode where her name is revealed, if that is her name. Or if not that, then there's episode 16, "How your mother met me." Or if not that, then episode 10, "Bass player wanted."

I don't know how well Daisy Mosby rolls off the tongue though.

I loved seeing Ted and the Mother in that small scene.
This episode felt the HIMYM of old to me. Funny, with a nice little emotional ending.

The scenes with and the mother and Lily were great and so was the last scene as well. I want some of those cookies.

There's some pretty solid chemistry between the two. Not much room for doubt anymore, they nailed it with their pick for the mother.

2 great episodes.

Love the future scenes, the present day scenes, and also the "past scenes". I take it eventually we'll see what Ted did in LA. Which means we'll probably have to see Stella again. Ugh.

I like Sarah Chalke as an actress, but I don't like Stella that much. I think the scenes between her and Ted though this season will be pretty good, with both completely (or I hope) moving on from what happened a few years ago.
