How I Met Your Mother

I missed the episode when it aired, but lately CBS has really been on top of posting their videos later the same night. to them.

Who could hate Marshall? I mean, really...

I don't think it's Punchy's wedding. I think that's a red herring. In the small glimpse we saw in the episode tonight Marshall and Ted were wearing similar suits meaning I think Marshall's in the wedding. Marshall wouldn't be in Punchy's wedding.

...he would be in Zoe and the Captain's wedding though. And that would be tough, but really it would be retreading old territory, I'd be disappointed if that was the case.

And I was a little disappointed with tonight's episode as far as regarding Barney's choice to call Norah. He just comes to the conclusion that he needs to call her, I thought it was kinda random, I needed something more.

A friend of mine still thinks that Ted will end up marrying Robin and that it will be a twist ending, almost as though this is their story, not just how Ted became the man he needed to be, but also how Robin became the woman she needed to be.

I just don't see them going that way. You'd basically have to rewrite the whole series if that were the case.

My buddy had this idea for a "twist" ending. Aunt Robin is actually the kids' biological mother and the end of this story of how he met their "mother" who is actually just the kids' stepmother basically, my friend thinks Ted is going to tell the kids "oh by the way, your mother's not your biological mother, Aunt Robin's your mom".

So technically she'd be the mother, but not the wife. Hmmm.

i hope Robin isnt the mother. I like her but idk I just dont want her as th emother

they are building the Zoe character for weeks. then jsut like that he says that they will brake up.

this is BS.

Wait so......are we never going to have Wendy The Waitress on the show again? Her and Karl are my favorite reoccuring characters.

Barney getting married to Norah would explain why both Ted and Marshal are in the party and that Ted is the best man but I doubt that they are ready to change Barney that much until the end of the series.

That would be the most ****ed up twist ever.

"By the way kids, you know this seemingly innocent story that I've been telling you? Its all a way for me to tell you that your mom isn't really your mom! You're bastard children of me and your aunt! P.S. Aunt Robin didn't really go on a trip to Europe. She's buried under the garage!"

Of course they were going to break up eventually. We knew Zoe wasn't the mother, so they'd have to break up.

It feels like this show is very unwilling to make many changes at all.

Or at the very least, it likes to draw everything out.

That's fair enough, it's a sitcom. But they should really be careful with the mother storyline and not getting the audiences hopes up like they did with Zoe again in a hurry.

I wonder, does the show end when he meets the mother, or when they first start dating. For some reason I feel like we'll never see the mother until the last episode.

I could probably deal with that - but next season would most likely have to be the last, as we seem to be promised we meet the mother during this wedding.

I think it would have been more interesting that they had the wedding early on the season and that he meets a few women there. It'd keep the suspense up a bit wondering if they're the mother unlike Zoey where you knew right away she wasn't the mother and you knew that their relationship was going nowhere.

Problem is, the mother is most likely going to be a known name, so she'd stand out pretty easily from the crowd of woman if that were to happen.

How did they get hopes up? How could anyone have thought it was Zoe? They made it very clear that Ted meets the mother at the wedding. Zoe did not fit that pre-requisite.

don't we already know, who the mother is.... I mean, we don't know her name, or what she looks like (other then her ankle) but, didn't he flat out say, that the roommate of (Rachel Bilson's character) Cindy, was the mother

so, they just need to drop hints to it being her, like about her going to that collage, that she took economics 101(and possibly recognizes him), plays the guitar in a bands, had an overly jealous roommate who turn lesbian... and lets not forget the yellow umbrella

Yeah. The going theory is that she is probably playing in the band at the wedding that Ted is at. It starts raining and the yellow umbrella plays a part in the whole thing. I could see them have Ted meet more than one woman at the wedding and not indicate which one is the Mother. They could spend next season playing it between the ones he met. I think they want to go for two more seasons, so who knows really.

No one should have thought Zoey was the mother. We knew they would break up at some point. No big surprise.

I probably worded it wrong.

They spent all that time developing their relationship for nothing. And we knew it.

Their storyline wasn't even that great anyway IMO.

Well i think it was just a new way to show Ted learning another lesson. I mean I didn't think Stella was the mother when she was introduced, but they still spent time developing her and their relationship just to build up to the point where it ends badly and Ted has to learn a few lessons.

you could say the same thing about Robin, he said it himself, right from the start that she wasn't the mother... but, was there relationship for nothing...?

I just get worried that Ted is always the one that comes off like the ass in his relationships.
