How I Met Your Mother

Norah and Barney make more sense than he and Robin. They tried to make it work, but it just wasn't there. Barney honestly seemed to fall in love with Norah. He almost changed for her and I think he eventually will.

the twist at the end of the episode at the cafe was just fantastic. It really kinda made my heart break for Barney. massive props to whoever wrote that 1 minute segment. best 1 minute of the season, for me-- closely followed by the scene with marshall checking his voicemail at his dad's funeral.

...and I'm just now realizing how emotional this season is. huh.

I love the ending of this episode though with Marshall and Barney on the street. Sometimes the facial expressions say enough for them. That was very funny.

Barney looked like Robert Patrick to me in that scene.

Meh Marshall's story arc seems really random to me. His dad died for no reason at all. I like the Barney/Nora story but something needs to happen soon, or else it's just the Barney/Robin thing all over again.

I really like Marshall's story arc right now. Death of a parent is often random, I've been really impressed in how the show has dealt with it. I remember when my mom passed away feeling many of the emotions Marshall does. I'm really glad that they're showing the aftermath and that Marshall is having a hard time dealing with it, instead of everything being back to normal in the next episode.

I kinda see that whole storyline as their attempts to get into "deeper" territory. After his death, the whole storyline with Norah, Marshall and Lily having a baby, everything seems to have more merit. It has more emotional impact.

And I totally forgot Robin's dual citizenship, damn.

I have to admit I am enjoying Barney's Arc as he's sort of growing up I do wonder if he actually does get with Robin but if he gets with Norah thats cool. That last scene was really great it really did fool me, but at least we see Barney trying to grow.

I'm not sure about The Ted and Zoey thing and was kind of glad when we found out she wasn't the mother. She nice but I've not gelled with her. I'm a bit confused as to what shes meant to represent I mean most of the girls Ted's been have represented something to him

Robin: His first love
Stella: The girl he thought he was meant to be with
I mean Zoey is his first serious relationship since Stella so it might just be the girl who brings back Ted's romantic side.

'How I Met Your Mother' renewed for two seasons
by James Hibberd

Two and a Half Men may or may not be back in the fall. But CBS’ How I Met Your Mother ain’t going anywhere (unless, of course Neil Patrick Harris embraces his inner Harold and Kumar alter ego and starts tripping out on the Alex Jones radio show, which seems rather unlikely).

The network has just renewed the hit comedy for, not one, but two more seasons, which will continue to give CBS a great opening act on Monday nights (assuming the show isn’t shuffled to later spot in the lineup).

So the bad news: You’re probably not going to find out who the mother is until at least 2013.

So long as they keep up the quality they've had this season, I approve.

Just wrap it up after these two.

I must admit,HIMYM has some brilliant scenes, very well written.

if the numbers are super low in the next season then it will not automatic get anew season right?

what i am asking is that this news is pointless right?

I have mixed feelings. On one hand, I love this show and want more but on the other hand, I'm eager to see who the mother is. Maybe they should just reveal who the mother is and show her and Ted date and get married.

they will give the mother at least one season. it wouldnt work if you would just find out her name and her job. you need ot know everything about her to understand why he was with her.

I dont think there's any rule that they cant reveal the mother until the very end....... then again, I've said the same thing about Superman on Smallville and, well.... :csad:

That's the same way I'm looking at this show. It's more about Ted's journey towards finding the mother as opposed to his life with the mother, so once he meets her, there's no point to the show.

That's kind of the way I feel, the show is called 'How I Met Your Mother' not 'How I Got To Know Your Mother' or 'Why I Married Your Mother', they can easily just end the show with him meeting her.

Yeah, we could just see her from the back or just see Ted's expression as he sees her for the first time. But I'd still like it to be SMG or ED:yay:

Dammit Channel 4! Bring back HIMYM and TBBT! I realise you want to screen Glory Daze but can't you just slot them in amongst the endless repeats of Friends?

What's with the fan obsession with SMG and ED?!

What's with the fan obsession with SMG and ED?!

Have you seen them?:yay: Ok, fangirl obsession but to judge from their commentaries the HIMYM producers are big Buffy fans and have included countless Whedon alumni in their show, Alysson Hannigan, Morena Baacarin, Harry Groener, Alexis Dennisoff, Tom Lenk etc so it may be possible?

^ I've also noticed random cameos from some of Segel's old, freaks and geeks, co-stars, throughout the show... so, I actually kinda had a theory that, Linda Cardellini, would play the mother

Neil Patrick Harris won for Best Supporting Actor in Comedy for the third time on a row on the 13th Annual Golden Europe TV Awards

Boardwalk Empire and Glee clean up the Golden Europe Television Awards!

Boardwalk Empire and Glee took home the top prizes at the 13-th annual Golden Europe TV Awards. Terrance Winter’s mob drama Boardwalk Empire took the record 10 awards out of 17 nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series, Lead Actor in Drama for Steve Buscemi, Lead Actress in Drama for Kelly McDonald, and Supporting Actor in Drama for Michael Shannon.

In the Comedy genre, the teen musical Glee also took a record of 9 awards, including Outstanding Comedy Series, Lead Actress in Comedy for Lea Michelle and Supporting Actress in Comedy for Jane Lynch.

Last month when the nominations were announced the vampire drama series True Blood received a record 18 nominations, but at the awards it only took the one for Guest Star in Drama for James Frane.

Pretty much Boardwalk and Glee cleaned up all the acting categories in the Drama and Comedy, and shared most of the technical awards, but there were few to take home some awards. The zombie drama The Walking Dread (who becomes the first drama series in Golden Europe history to be nominated for Outstanding Drama Series without a single acting nomination) won the award for Makeup in TV Series. Neil Patrick Harris won for third time on a row the award for Supporting Comedy Actor for How I Met Your Mother, and Julia Stiles won for Outstanding Supporting Actress in Drama for Dexter.
