How many old comics from way back to you own?

Those darn Spidey titles from the 80's and very early 90's are what cost so much damn money. I want to build up my Spidey books, but the Amazing Spidey books will take a while.

Not really.I ask a comic book store owner how much they cost and he said only between 20-25 dollars

I've got the entire 'Star Wars' run & the entire 'G.I. Joe' runs. I've got Fantastic Four, Spiderman, Batman, Superman & X-Men from the 60's (not complete, just various ones). I've got a bunch of DC & Marvel from the 80's thru to current. I also have the entire run of CrossGen & a bunch of Image stuff from the beginning of the series.....I also have some variant stuff throughout the years.........

I wouldn't call it a "famous" gambit issue. It's the trial of gambit, yeah, but it wasn't really that special or unique, especially in the grand scheme of things. It's not like it's Death of Phoenix or some other milestone

For Gambit it is. Lets be honest.:csad:

I've got Avengers #2 and Captain America #101

I just got Devil Dinosaur #1 and #2 at Half-Priced Books yesterday.

I have some old comics from way back in the day but my favorite one is Wolverine #4

Mostly X-Men comics from the 1980`s,a few other things.I have less than 200 comic issues.

Meaning from the 60's to 80's and so on, how many from a certain character do you own? I've been buying old comics since the past two years now and I have to say I have a alot. :woot:

I have:

  • The Punisher series from the 80's
  • Punisher: War Journal from the 80's
  • Amazing Spider-Man
  • X-men
  • The Avengers
  • Dr. Strange
  • Thor
  • Namor
  • Iron Fist
And that's pretty much it. I'm still looking around for some other old titles, but the ones I listed from way back then is what I have so far.

What about you guys?

This is heartbreaking for me but I had these at one point. I seemed to have 'lost' them because of heavy family drama dynamics, here goes:

1. Original Uncanny New X-men comics from the John Byrne/Chris Claremont/Terry Austin run just about the start of the Dark Phoenix saga.

2. Original Elfquest black and white comics (note: I discovered and purchased them in Palo Alto, I believe, in early 1980 or 1981. I've lost them....goddamnit. This hurts TREMENDOUSLY.

3. I had the StarLord graphic novel, the one did by John Byrne. Damn it. Another that I lost track of somehow. Goddamnit.

Wow. I feel like a newborn here. My oldest comic is probably Spawn Issue #1 from 1992. I have the first 15 issues, given to me as presents for some occassion or another.
