How many peeps here have had a Vasectomy. I got some questions...

Interesting

About #4, you've gotta jack it and dash over to hospital to show them. I find that humorous :D

Well you can always 'jack it' in the hospital parking lot, just don't let security see ya.:yay:

This one does not require personal experience.

Sperm will remain “downstream” within the vas deferens for several months. It will take about a dozen ejaculations or more to evacuate the vas deferens of sperm
and you can get a dozen done in a day.......

well I cann

1. Did it hurt? (If not was there any pain afterwards or long lasting affects)

2. How much did it cost? Does insurance pay for it?

3. Does it kill your sex drive?

4. How long do u have to wait until your sperm is completely gone from your body where you can still get a chick pregnant.

1/ No, it's mildly irritating afterwards for maybe a week

2/ No idea...I live in Canada so it didn't even go through my insurance

3/ No, marriage killed my sex drive!!

4/ You get tested at least twice.....the second test I believe (but it's been a while so I may be mistaken) is 6 months after the operation...you have to test negatively twice before your GP wil conclude the vasectomy was a success.

I have a question about your universal healthcare in canada. Does how much money you earn affect what your coverage is? Or does everyone get the same coverage across the board? Like say if Bill Gates lived in canada would he get the same coverage as you?

Also does ths apply to medical supplies? Like Bandages, Electric/wheelchairs, Diapers, etc...?

can't speak for Canada but in Britain. How much you earn does matter everyone gets the same treatment. Also if you unemployed or a student you get more health stuff free like dental and so on.

For purposes of MSI no it doesn't matter how much money you make (in theory, in reality there's a growing two tier system here in Canada), but not everything is covered by MSI, my vas was, about 4 years ago my daughter required jaw surgery that the genuises here in Canada considered cosmetic, so if I didn't have other insurance, (or about $12,000 burning a hole in my pocket) she would have gone without.....

...no it doesn't apply to electric wheel chairs, bandages, prescriptions or any of that stuff ....those are out of pocket expenses unless given to you while in a hospital

...hope that helps
