How many people has the Hulk killed ?

All these characters are smart but I think each of them are smarter in each of their specialist fields over the others except a small number of characters like Mr Fantastic who are polymaths and great at everything.

Like Bruce Banner is a genius physicist, Tony Stark a genius engineer, Hank Pym and Hank McCoy genius Biochemists and so on.

Hulks life seems to be like the tv series The A-Team were no one dies despite car crashes, explosions, gunfights, ect

Realistically Hulk would have killed hundreds if not thousands of people over the years. Even average powered superheroes should accidently kill bystanders during these superhero battles in heavily populated areas. Heck they basically run around beating up criminals they could easily accidently kill them.

This is comics though so its not real and thus no one has to died.

I do think that's a fair assessment on intelligence because each person in their field may be better than someone "smarter" then them at things. Mad Thinker is a great example of this. Probably the best brain at deductive, inductive and abductive reasoning in the MU bar none. But because Reed operates at an intellictual level he can't grasp he can't apply the senarios to him and gets beat. That said Reed could in no way use the reasoning Mad Thinker applies with ease.

Most of Hulk's rampages in the old days before comics became a total bloodbath was in the southwest through little one horse towns or the desert. It might be a stretch to say he had never killed anyone, but no more of a stretch than anything else in comics.

Oh, and **** Bendis. Don't think that can be stated often enough.

So the basic thought here is that a drunk driver or spider-man is far more deadly than the hulk?

He did build one, I'm fairly certain he told his assistant to stop the countdown, but his assistant turned out to be a commie spy...or something like that.

There was a delay button that was never pushed by Igor, the Russian spy that Banner told to delay the count down. As a result Banner was bathed in the “Mysterious Gamma Rays”. This is why I hate the idea that the Hulk is a repressed memory from Banners childhood, the idea that The Hulk came from the “Mysterious Gamma Rays” was the way I always read it. Even Banner himself said “In a few seconds we will finally know what happens when the powerful Gamma Rays are released." I know that was then and this is now but it seems to me that comics have lost their mystery. It has been replaced by everything spelled out with gore as the attraction.

I stopped collection the Hulk around issue 460 something but The Hulk I knew never intentionally killed anyone but there has been accidental deaths. Most notably was in TIH 205 when Jarella was killed while trying to save a kid when a falling building crushed her during a battle between the Hulk and Crypto-Man who then the Hulk completely destroyed killing the unnamed scientist who was controlling the Crypto-Man.

Jack! i soooo agree with this man!I got that book too and that was really the only dude i ever seen the hulk kill( and it was unintentionally)!Again man! if Superheroes were real more than the hulk would have killed people. Hahah laser blasts all over the place and cars being flipped!I always think of " The Incredibles" when its comes to superhero battles. you know if this were real life somebody would sue the unstable molecules off their ass! They are Superheroes and well except for Wolverine( and this new breed of "hero") dont kill people intentionally!..... This thread should be how many flipping people has Wolverine killed!! haha

I think the Hulk has access to the anti-anti-life equation, that keeps people from dying.

Supposedly, none, thanks to Super math.

Please show us in story where Hulk has purposely killed innocents.

And Hulk has always had unusual accuracy from the beginning.

He's destroyed whole towns. You don't think there were some people on say life support or disabled and couldn't flee in time? Did he use his X-ray vision to check which buildings had people in them first? A gamma irradiated superman I can buy, but that superman going on rampages that destroy everything and never causing an innocent death? This is a bit much.

Aside from Mr. Fantastic I would say the leader and MODOK who both possess superhuman intelligence would be above banner. As would probably Doom, Pym, Mad Thinker, Tony Stark...etc. (also leaving out gods and artificial intelligences like Loki, Athena, Apollo, Ultron, Vision, etc) I just don't see banner as being there despite what people say. He built a gamma bomb which kinda did the opposite of his intention. That's his big claim to fame. I just don't see it.

Also I don't see how radiation research correlates to advanced instantaneous spatial physics which is what that super math correlates to.

The Leader and M.O.D.O.K. are part of the Intelligencia, who were confirmed not to be part of the Top 8 smartest men in the world. Pak, Van Lente, Liss, and Slott established in their works that the smartest men are:

1. Mr. Fantastic
2. Dr. Doom
3. Giant-Man, Scientist Supreme
4. Bruce Banner
5. Iron Man or Beast
6. Iron Man or Beast
7. Amadeus Cho
8. Black Panther

However, Hickman's Fantastic Four has Valeria Richards now coming out on top of the list, surpassing her father. But I don't think that the full extent of her super genius abilities is common knowledge.

well i know for sure Tony's body count is 2...
unintentionally though!( justin hammer took control of his armour)
IM124_CarnellianAmbassador.JPG

SKOOOSH!?! tsk tsk poor fat foreign diplomat.all he wanted was a picture and instead he gets" this is what your insides feels like on repulsor rays!"

His body counts waaaaay bigger than 2.

His armor got hacked and he took down a plane with 138 people on it.

And probably some other stuff.

Hulk has never purposely attacked any town and murdered the occupants ever. Please show me if you have other facts. Samson once separated Banner and Hulk making him completely mindless and that was the only time ....ever... that Hulk had killed innocents and that was because of what Samson did, even Samson recognized that. So please don't add your misunderstandings of Hulk's understanding as common knowledge. Hulk has threatened before and even damaged stuff but he doesn't attack and kill on site, he prefers to be left alone.

Hulk is a misunderstood monster...that's one of the defining ideas behind his creation. So. please show me in story...any story where Hulk has killed innocents with his rampages. Otherwise you are making it up.

Superman and all other top tier powerhouses have been thrown, zapped, or punched out of their control by outside forces and you can no more blame them if someone died than you can the Hulk.

Banner is stated to be the Marvel Universes' fourth smartest person. So considering that Marvel canon says that he's as smart as people say he is, I'm going to lean towards Banner being as smart as people say he is.

In one of the earliest Hulk books Stan Lee wrote in story that Banner was the smartest man on the planet.

I kinda don't see how banner is as smart as people say he is. He makes a gamma bomb then runs out and uses duck and cover to prevent it's effects. Rick Jones should be toast.

Intelligence does not all way equal common sense and it doesn't always account for the effects of ones emotions.

Also, if you read the recent Fear Itself the Worthy One Shot it's suggested,
as it had been for years that Banner or the Hulk, one or the other purposely influenced his birth. It's quite possible that Rick being on the g-bomb site was seen as the opportunity Banner sought to get the necessary Gamma radiation he needed to become Hulk. That was at least Hulk's view on the matter.

.
hehe i was being kind.. Oh and a little bit of a smart guy "oh great Egyptian death god" Anubis. i mean come on! the dude got drunk!! and put on an indestructible suit of Armour( what i wanna know.. is how come that dude didnt go to trial? he should have been charged with" DWA."(drinking while armored) that &^%$# intentionally endangered people!! ( Hulk never got drunk!) people could argue well how many civilizations has Reed Richards allowed to be destroyed bynot permanently stopping Galatcus with the ult. nullfier or how many deaths has Pym cause by unleashing Ultron on the world? They are Superheroes !! Haha They Dont care about our asses. Sure They are all" Hey! Terrax is coming! get your asses outta here!", but then it's all ZOWPOw!Laser blasts! LETS GET IT ON!... and that's why we love EM, *they kick the *&^%(* OUTTA BAD GUYS with unbridled fury!

* BV hates bad guys!

No, I meant to quote you as well as the other poster, you because you seem to be cosigning on his comments.

Oh, then I guess you missed this part.

I think they both work in the context of the universe. It's Superhero comics....it is what it is.

But it's still stupid and cheesy. :o Doesn't mean I don't think it's necessary.

I'm pretty sure all superheroes have a decent body count, regardless of their intent. The Hulk's is just higher than normal because he's known to knock down buildings and ****.

Except apparently it isn't....and again, It supposedly doesn't count when he's mindless.

(But it totally does.)

I will say this.....I don't think it's as high as the Punisher.

That's because the Hulk is an angry child while Frank is a raving lunatic.

I'd say he's more of a cold calculating psychopath.
