How quiet was it during this scene?

Mine was dead... no talking, no whispers... everyone watched him fall exactly like the people in the movie when they watched him falling from the sky... this was an amazing moment... much like the crucifixion scene during the Passion of the Christ where everyone in my theater was silent throughout.

very quiet..same here..my eyes was glued to the screen i know that much after see'n him lift nk into space with all his power and will..amazing moment indeed

Mine got real quit when Superman was getting the crap beat out of him by Luther and his henchmen.

mine got dead quiet too. a funny story, one of my friends that was there in my group loves to talk during movies. it's gotten us in situations where i've had to defend her cause, even tho i can't stand it either, that's my girl so step off. anyway, when that scene happened we were all looking at her with fingers over our mouths like "don't say a WORD, just don't." it was hilarious cause it got so hard for her that she was wimpering the whole way down he fell, i had to hold in the laughter for the rest of the movie.

So quiet that I heard my sister's stomach growl twice.

people like your friend need to be pimp slapped. i HATE it when people are talking during a movie. that's one of the main reasons the cinema industry is going to pot...people would rather sit at home and watch a dvd in front of a nice lcd/plasma screen with surround sound, uninterrupted by the cell phones, babies, talking beyotches, and etc that occur in a theater.

how can u actually stand up for that stuff? that's like saying 'hey, i know my friend just hit you with her car, but step off!'. ridiculous.

anyways, all three times i saw SR, the theater was completely dead silent during the fall. in fact, i think it was most silent when the camera pans onto supes' body laying in the crater ditch. it completely reminde me of the 'death of superman' pose from the comics. very sad.

MCRapier9, that's all fine if she's your friend and a girl... but defending her? tell her to shut the **** up next time at a film... girl or not, i'd tell your friend to her face and whoever else was with her to shut the **** up... seriously, it's the stupidest thing to talk in the theater... it's a total lack of courtesy for others.

dabilee is right... it's cuz of people like your friends that going to the cinemas makes it so NOT enjoyable now a days cuz all the ****ing yappering and talking... it's like go home and do all the talking you want there, or stay quiet in the theater.

for the most part it was quiet. although in one of my other screenings some A-hole snickered and started singing. *****in idiot.

Deathly silent. Especially that scene AND where he is getting beat up with the kryptonite knife in his back. Both scenes were just so intense.

thanks for backing me up, echostation. hopefully i can return the favor one day =).

i'm just grateful i haven't been to a theater where the patrons shoot at the screen. you all know what i'm talking about. lol.

Actually it's the readily available torrents & bootleg dvds that are for free or a fraction of the cost of movie tix that are the main reason the cinema industry is going to pot. The increase in price for gas & movie tickets don't help much either.

It was really quiet. You could hear a lot of people gasp in suprise as he started to fall. When he hit a little boy a few seats down from me asked is dad"Is superman dead" :(

Unfortunately, the print I saw had Mel Gibson (with Apocalypto beard) popping up and screaming, "Look everybody, Superman is like Jesus!!"

It really ruined both scenes, imo. I don't know why Singer didn't try to be a little more subtle.

You could hear a pin drop during that scene in my theater.

Same. Minus the singing part.

My theater was very quiet in itself as well. One kid who was about maybe two or three rows ahead of me, began to cry and asking what was wrong with Superman?

Other than that the theater was very silent and very respectful to the overall content of Superman. To be perfectly honest with you, I didn't hear one snicker or one groan during the scene.

It was a beautiful moment in itself.

Deaaaaad quiet. When it faded out there were some slight "oh my God" whisperings. Dead silent for the fall and when he got the **** beat out of him.

my theater was quiet as well. but what didnt make sense was when they started to chuckle when he was getting operated. i mean if you were so silent and saddened by him falling from space, why are you laughing at the attempt to save him? i know that the materials that the doctors used weren't working and that can be funny but idk it just shocked me. i had never seen superman in that state. =\

Dead quiet,thank God.
We has these Tools at our second screening and even they shut up.
At the start of the fill, while Ma Kent is doing the dishes, one of them yelled out"BORING" and everyone laughed.
It was kinda funny, but only cos it was my second time.Wouldn't have been funny at the first.
Same guys also stole a massive promo poster on the way out.

But,yeah,the fall was quiet

Unfortunately a family sat behind me...the two little girls where commenting "Is that Superman mommy?" "Look at Superman fly mommy" "That was funny Mommy" etc. etc. Luckily during the free fall they were quiet but when he hit the ground they commented "Is Superman dead Mommy?"

It was one of the most frustrating movie watching experiences of my life. I think I need to see the film again.....lol .

Dead silent, the first time I watched it.

The second time some little brat was kicking my dad's seat. :\

^^you should watch it at night so theres less people (or watch in imax cause we all know not everyone is gunna pay that much to watch it in 3-d). strangly, when i saw it, it was one of the best experiences i had at the movies. big popcorn, big coke, quiet kids, no bathroom breaks, no phones, and no obnoxious teens (even though im 15). who could ask for more? but then again i think the big coke was a bad idea. i really had to be at the best parts of the movie!

when i say defend her, i mean from people like you when they want to be physical. i shush her myself, but for someone to get in her face like that is disrespecting me too. believe me if you were to do that to her you'd have to deal with me, let me handle it.
