How Should Cap's Abilities Be Portrayed On The Screen?

Navy blue. I just think it'd look cooler. Just as long as it's clearly blue and not so dark it's friggin' black.

Except that's not the vintage Cap getup...That's the Ultimate Cap getup.

True, but I like it. I think Ultimate Cap costume is the way to go.

I also think the movie version is going to end up being more like Ulti Cap based on the fact that they are discussing the super soldier serum in the upcoming Hulk film. I think they are going to take the approach of Ultimates.

Well yes they will be taking elements from both (Sam Jackson Nick Fury and super soldier serum being responsible for a lot of advancements both being elements from the Ultimate books) but I don't think they're going to make Cap as "realistic" as his Ultimate counterpart. These movies seem to be about the mainstream Marvel so far. It's why Hulk is green and not eating people and Iron Man doesn't look like some manga mecha robot. I'm sure Cap will at least have the wings if anything.

The compromise I'd make is use the regular 616 suit but take out the scalemail on his chest and use something similar to the Ultimate top. There should be one scene during WWII where he has the helmet and gun and all because he needs it in that situation (like storming a base with other soldiers).
