I don't know. I think a recent verdict was in the Siegels' favor, but I don't know if DC appealed it or whatever.

On July 27, 2007, the courts ruled in favor of Warner Bros' decision to appeal the previous ruling and dismissed some of the Siegel estate's claims about the Superboy character.

What's kinda funny is that way back in the immediately post-IC days, when the Siegels did legitimately have the upper hand in court, the name and character of Superboy was being thrown around a lot more than it is today, when apparently the judge was like "btch, plz" about some of their claims.

I guess DC just wants to look like the model citizen here, which would make sense.

I dont see anything wrong with Chris, makes more sense than damien. in a 10 years when hes grown up and in his teens, he'll make a sweet character.

IMO Chris has a helluva lot more character potential than Jason, just by being Zod's kid. And at whatever age he is now, he's already a novice to Earth life, so his childhood can easily be an interesting one (and in turn add some extra realistic spice to Clark and Lois' marriage, thus adding more semblance of relatability). Plus he's already demonstrated how assertive he can be in a testy situation by lipping off to his own (biological) dad (as many kids do), whereas Jason could only seem to toss a piano across a room as little more than a hyperactive reflex.

2. Re: the topic, ideally I'd like to see Superboy fly in out of nowhere, grab Chris by his ankles, and use him to beat Superboy Prime to death. Then when people are all like "ZOMG YOU'RE DEAD!" he's like "I got better" And then they never bring it up again.

They've hired regular nannies. Chris usually wears a red sun watch designed by Batman to negate his powers, so for all purposes they're babysitting a normal child. Except that Batman is apparently a ****** who forgot to calibrate the watch for a child instead of an adult, and now we've got shenanigans.

You have to admit that watch goes against canon in regards to how a kyrptonians powers operate.

Does it? I thought red sun radiation just shut down a Kryptonian's powers without draining their cells or whatever. That makes absolutely no sense, but that's how I recall it being explained. That seems to be what the watch does for Chris.

Just read the latest Superman. The kid is a ho ass simp. Plus how old is he? He looks 11 or 12 in some drawings. And he's still going around taking about "mama" Lois and "daddy" Clark with that pot belly of his (Lois is a **** mother probably feeds him McDonald's all day and then tells him its ok when he blows her stuff up).

And you know what? Damien>>>>>>>>>>>> Chris Kent. Damien might have been a bit of annoying twirp but he at least he made himself useful with the fighting skills. Frankly he was a little bit of a g in The Resurrection of Ra's Al Ghul Storyline fighting off grandpa's men.

In fact I vote Damien to murk him.
