If Michael (Lex) and Alison (Chloe) decide to leave after season 7. They should really move Clark to Metropolis or have him begin his training. I am sure they can get both Michael and Alison to do guest appearances. They could have more episodes with the "league" and other things to prep him to be Supes.

What would you do?

whoever said anything about Allison leaving? It's supposed to be Kristin and Mike.

Wow so it would only be Clark, Kara (possibly), Lois, Jimmy, and Lionel left.

Superman Begins!!!!!!!

I still believe we will see a first adventure of Superman deal with Tom Welling, either in a movie or for season 8.

I think one of the things holding a Tom Welling as Superman solo flick back is they would have to decide to recast roles or bring the cast actors from Smallville, other than Welling and Rosenbaum, along.

Here is how it would shape up:

Superman: Tom Welling
Lex Luthor: Michael Rosenbaum
Lois Lane: Erica Durance
Perry White: Michael McKean
Jimmy Olsen: Aaron Ashmore
Martha Kent: Annette O'toole

Now I think this cast can work on the big screen. They would also be cheap and easy to sign to three movie deals. How the WB feels about this cast however, I dont know!

As much as I love John Glover, I want Lionel dead by the time Rosenbaum leaves, and I want the deed done by Lex.

I really don't want them to put off the training yet ANOTHER season, simply to extend the show. Maybe he'll be able to go through the training by/near the end of this season, and spends next season (travelling?) trying to figure out what to do with all this newfound knowledge and power control that he'll have, with the season/series ending with him having come back to Kansas/Metropolis and becoming Superman.

I'd want Clark to fall for Lois towards the end of season 7 even though she may not have feelings for him yet. This then will spark in him an interest towards journalism as Season 8 begins. The rest of the season will be about him developing his Clark persona and then toward Superman.

Traveling.

He needs to see the world with all of his abilities, and help the world not just SV, starting out as a myth until he gets to Metropolis and officially becomes Superman. Much like the setup for his origins on L&C.

travelling would be cool..

frequent and new DC guest stars would be neat as well.

maybe have some 2-3 episode arcs for each of the places he travels to...

fully agree with you, im also afraid with lex leaving soon that won't happen

Lois would have to become an actual series regular, instead of this "series regular that appears every now and then" garbage they're pulling right now.

But I don't know, I'm not too keen on Clark travelling around and not really interacting with Lois, Jimmy, and the leftovers. I like Erica and Aaron, but I'm not sure they can hold their own storylines without Clark's presence.

How should season 8 be?

Nonexistant. Season 7 should be the last.

Seriously, we're not even halfway done with this season so it's pointless to go on about a season eight.

Rumor has it, at the end of the finale of the series (weather it be this year or next), it was going to have an 'after-the-credits' thing, where it was set 10 years in the future. Clark and Lois are together, and she knows he's Superman, but no one else does. It shows him working at the daily planet, then you hear Rosenbaums voice saying something about metropolis finally being his, and superman is about to be eliminted, at which you see the blur of light Clark always does, then you see him flying, in his Superman suit, towards Lex, in a version of the Kryptonite-Suit he has, and the series ends with them both throwing a punch at one another.

So I'm thinkin they're gonna go ahead and keep with the "no flights/no tights" thing until the very end.

Which honestly, would be an amazing end to the series.

I was with you up until you said kryptonite suit...

To me that is a big tease. I want more than a few minute epilogue. :D

would be good if there was an epilogue episode. like in JLU

You mean the Batman Beyond episode? Cause that one sucked.

Well when I heard how they were describing the suit, it sounded more like just a tiny light armor typa thing, with hover boots he invented. I mean Lex Luthor is one of the smartest people in the DCU, and it's supposed to be set 10 years or so in the future, so who knows what coulda happened.

It wasn't that super corny Green and Purple cagesuit thing he had that they were talking about. This one was more subtle, almost like an actual costume.

I'd agree, if you chop Durance out of there, lady is hot, but she sure CAN'T act. Prolly want to get someone in there who could act, especially if one is taking the movie to the Giant Screen
