How to save this awesome show!

^Exactly! I guess I really can't complain. I don't really watch that much TV - only my sister and brother. The only show that I watch on TV are NFL, NBA, and of course, TSSM! And sometime some random shows. LOL...

(Sorry for getting too off topic. There's just nothing much to talk about since season two ended.)

yea i myself watch to much some times. there is atless one show i like everynight besides on saturdays.

So maybe somebody here whose writing is good can prepare a text and we can send it to the above-mentioned sites. We must act brothers!

Again I wonder - is the show really in trouble or are some of us are just being a bit paranoid.

i say we ask "Dread" to write a request then we will email it to the sites and ask them to urge their visitors to watch the show on Disney.

or we wait til next week to see the ratings and then ask Dread to write a request.

well i dont think its likely that its going to end now. I would say probably 70-80 precent chance for order call in the coming weeks for 3rd season. It been stated many times we are not going to know anything and wont get any calls to it has started airing on dxd and once we see how its doing on that network and if its good numbers we are likely to get the order and everyone can get back to work. And hopefully they can hire back all the crew members bacl.

yes you are right
but let's not take any chances
i am gonna pm "Dread"

I guess everyone wants Dread to write. He does have a way with words and his reviews are great!

Its not uncommon for kids animated series to go season by season.

much of what decides whether the show continues is the production costs in comparison to the ratings and new shows that maybe able to produce the same ratings at a cheaper production cost.

Much of 90's Batman TAS was centered on season to season contract.

I wouldn't worry as although the animation for this show was hard to get used to at first, the writing is superb and is accessible to all age groups.

I see this show running at least 4 seasons before the younger audience really begins to get distracted.

Unfortunatley the dynamic they are appealing to is hard to keep entertained.

I think the contstant reboots of the transformers franchise are proof positive of that.

Disney is not helping either as they are know for their cutthroat business ethics when it comes to children's programming, they want the show to keep kids entertained in the first 10seconds.

So has anyone heard any news on how the first 3 episode went ratings wise back on monday?

i just contacted "Dread". he says he is going to prepare a letter if he finds time for it. i hope he does so. then we can email the letter to the spidey sites and ask them to post it on their sites for all spidey fans to see.

awesome!

I don't mean to rain on the parade but on-line petitions and letters rarely if ever do any good. It's money and ratings that talk.

Family Guy DVD sales brought it back from cancellation when the ratings were not strong.

Brave and the Bold is actually a great cartoon, and its more adult then the BTAS, its just more adventurous than dark like the BTAS, i'm not much into DC, but a friend of mine who read their comics says its a great homage to DC period before the super punch and all reboots.
Also they had the guts to use scarecrow with a scythe , and to sugest death sentence was exectuted in the cartoon (last episode with etrigan)

Sony is caring less about season 3, what they want is to get paid back for season 1 and 2

Another suggestion I've heard elsewhere is to actually take time to write a letter. Sure, e-mails and petitions are nice, but writting a well-written, organized, and neat letter shows the time, dedication, and how much one cares about the show.

So, if anyone has extra time in their hands, write a letter. I'm starting to write one as we speak.

how would u know if sony/marvel dont care about the show any more. Its been reported multiple times the reason we dont have season 3 order yet, and crew was laid off temporarly is they wanted to first wait and see how some episodes run and do with ratings on DXD. So untill we get that we dont know what sony's plans are.

Both Sony America and Sony japan, are being very restrictive about expending money cos they were losing too much why do you think they haven't expent much in promoting the show or their console ?

Sony Pictures-Television is a different division than the one involving their consoles/electronics.

Besides Spidey's not the only show under Sony Pictures. There's many other shows they own.

On another note does anybody know when Disney XD officially started advertising for Spectacular Spider-Man? You'd think they would've promoted a month in advance at THE very least. The earliest advertisement I heard about for Spidey was March 9th on XD, which is pretty dumb marketing, as advertising it far in advance would've got the word out alot better (see Wolverine and the X-Men on Nicktoons & Spectacular Spider-Man on Kids WB).

everybody here has a valid point. but what i am saying is that there is no harm in writing a letter to various people. we shouldnt take any chances. we are dealing with Disney here. i guess you all know how greedy they are. and lets not forget the dismal finacial situation in the whole world and i think that even if a show is dcent enough they might not want to take the risk and renew it.

Some possibly bad news; Victor Cook, who was the animation producer and co-showrunner with Greg Wiesman, has just attached himself to direct a new feature with STARZ MEDIA and FILM ROMAN, "Dante's Inferno".

http://www.variety.com/article/VR1118001831.html?categoryid=19&cs=1

Victor Cook has worked with STARZ MEDIA before on the HELLBOY ANIMATED DTV's.

It is possible that Cook could do both a third TSSM season and this at once, but it would be hectic. It does show that naturally the talent involved can't wait long before attaching to new projects, especially with the economy as it is.

I typed up a letter on Word, and it is about 2 pages long. I am not that skilled at WORD with making lines to sign and I am aware that there are specific Internet programs to handle electronic signatures, which I also am not aware of how to so. But I figure because Persian asked and I found the time, I will attach the letter here. Those who wish to move forward with it may use it as they will, just keep me in the loop so I can sign whatever electronic thing I have to.

The last time I did something like this, it was to try to save X-MEN EVOLUTION. Hopefully this one goes better. :)

^^ Well, hopefully, he'll still do TSSM. Personally, I think he'll be able to balance it out.

It'll be hard work but, if he helped make The Spectacular Spider-Man he must have some talent.

Yea hopefully he will be able to do both if the show is picked up. but we dont know how much time would be needed for both.
