Batman Begins How was Batman allowing Ra's to die justified?

Deal.

Why is this such a big deal to some people, I really didn't care if Ra's died or not.
But honestly what could Bruce do to prevent his death?
He couldn't take hold of him and soar out of the cabine, they would have both crashed to the ground.

But I do think that he'll develope a counsiens (sp?) in this trilogy and not let Two-Face or The Joker die, but save them at any cost.

That part says a lot.

However, at the end of the movie, he left Ra's Al Ghul to die on the train. Would Batman ever leave anybody to die? How was that justified?

I don't have to kill you. . .

*glass breaks. . . batarang's thrown*

but I don't have to save you. . .

:( See? :csad:

C'mon. I don't see a way he could have saved Ra's. He needs both hands to stiffen the cape and glide out of there, and I'd LOVE to see him die shooting his grapling hook out of a speeding train probably breaking his neck. Although, he probably could have jumped out......and then shot the hook, but then wouldn't the hook possible hit nothing really b/c of the amount of space around him? I dunno.

See.....not as simple.
It's late. Going with this seems convenient. . . yet oddly prudent.

I have to say I do have problems with the end of the movie, I do think that Batman would have and should have saved him. I wouldn't call Bats a muderer or anything and the scene didn't ruin the movie, it's just that I find it to be a questionable thing for Batman to do.

Why?

Not that I'm trying to be funny, or anything....but why do you think you feel that way?

That was the point. Nolan established Batman as a different kind of hero in that moment. In that moment it should have been clear to the audience that Batman is not a saviour like Superman. He is a man with demons and his own style of justice.
Comic book wise, this is Batman in the beginning and in the beginning Batman killed.

Batman didn't kill him, though.

Really.....IF ANYBODY killed him...it was Jim. And he's a cop, and he can kill people. So, we're all good.

Thats exactly why I liked B89 so much.
