How will Thor fly?

Thor does, according to the script, fly toward Loki on his return. Heimdall....I'd have to read again I don't think he does

Well I wonder why he was pointing his sword & looking "angry" in the trailer.

Cool, what about flying against Loki & does Heimdall fight anybody?

Heimdall comes at Loki with his sword, but then gets frozen. He does not fight Thor or the Warriors Three, but they are clearly intimidated by him.

Oh ok sounds cool, but I would've loved to see his sword emit flames...oh well

Arrgghh!! Thor needs to be able to fly..."PERIOD." And while I'm at it; his battle helmet is an important part of his costume, whether one agrees or not. Let's put it this way; Superman without his cape, Batman without his ears, Spider-Man without his webs, Hulk without his green, "Thor without his helmet??"
P.S. Oh, did I mention that Thor flies?

It's been said a number of times that Thor will fly in this movie.

It's been said a number of times that the Captain America movie has Nazis in it too but that hasn't stopped people from accusing Marvel of bowing to political correctness and being afraid to offend audiences, or being godless heathens just in it for the merchandise sales.

Remember when everyone thought the Torch would only flame up his hands?

Ahhh good times.

:ff: :ff: :ff:

Yeah...I wonder if people ever read the posts, articles and interviews.

ZOOOMG Cap better FLY into some nazis in AUTHENTIC NAZI OUTFITS !!!!

I'm thinking Thor will break into a musical number as the Destroyer closes in. Glee and High School Musical are instantaneously obliterated from the awesomeness of it, and somewhere, a single tear rolls down Simon Cowells cheek.

Odin, so moved by the spontaneous display, returns Thors powers to him. He and the Destroyer then commence a Dance Off to decide the fate of the world.

I guess people are just gonna have to see Thor flying for themselves on May 6th to finally believe, or atleast a 3rd trailer.

Yeah I've been taking quite a few breaks from the Cap forums, it just get's so tense in there.

I just wish they would show how he flies. At least EXPLAIN it somewhere.

I've always liked the "He has to be holding it to fly" version. It allows for floating. He doesn't always have to throw it to fly. It's just how he leaves.

:thor: :thor: :thor:

I think they should just have him able to fly. If you say he has to hold the hammer then he can't throw it while he's floating and it takes away all kinds of cool action scene potential.

Don't go into it, just let him fly (or at least float) without Mjolnir.

Yeah I agree with WildCat, I think they should just give Thor the ability to fly since he's not throwing the hammer, or aleast hovering without it.

They show Thor floating without his hammer alot in A:EMH, I prefer it that way actually.

I don't know why they don't just chalk it up to wind currents. Have him fly with Mjolnir's magic when he has it, and then let him hover on air currents if he needs to throw Mjolnir. Simple.

You would think they would. I mean they had no problem showing that with Storm in X-Men.

I guess we'll just have to wait and find out in the netx couple of months.

Thor needs to fly... I personally think it would be awesome to see him use Mjolnir just to propel him, then sort of cut it out when he wants to land. Giving it kind of a Hulk leap feel to it. He shouldn't be able to change directions and such like Superman though, IMO

That wouldn't really be flying then, would it :cwink:...
