It would be great to see an ''Odin powered'' Thor, imo.
I'm honestly just glad he will fly. Its really not all that important to me how he flies as long as it looks great on screen.
Yeah, same here. I don't really mind that they refer to the Asgardians as aliens and not god, to make it easier for the audience to accept these advanced immortal beings without getting into all the religious controversy. But it is extremely important to preserve Thor's ability to fly. I hope it will be visually amazing on the big screen.
advanced race?I'm hoping they won't refer to them with the word "alien". It seems like splitting hairs but I hope they just say "extra-dimensional being" or some such.
I don't mind the whole "not actual gods" thing though.
advanced race?![]()

I agree with you Angamb, have you seen Thor flying in the new tv spot yet?
Thanks for that. I didn't notice him flying cuz of the low quality but it's there. I kinda wish they didn't show that though and left it at "I'm going to fly out". Leave the big flying reveal for the movie.
OK this isn't related to his flying but to his powers in general and vulnerability specificly. I don't have that much of a history with the character so after watching the trailers I'm confused. I assume that Thor can take his fair share of pain so why in the clips do we see him subcumbing to a taser and a needle? Is there something with his powers that don't kick in at first when he's on earth? I reviewed the wikipedia link on him and from that I got that he is virtually invulnerable. Just wondering if anyone can provide some insight on this. As for the movie as I said I don't have a history with the charcater but really like what I've seen!
Spins hammer, throws it, grabs the handle and flies. Never a miscommunication.
Unless I've misinterpreted what I've now seen in the latest trailers I guess the answer to the title of this thread has been revealed. Cool! Was always hoping for that....and never doubted it. Looking forward to seeing it.
"Cross the Rainbow Bridge of Asgard, where the mighty thunder roars...."
Yep, he's basically a powerless mortal by the time he lands on earth.
