How would you do Green Lantern on Smallville?

I like shades or a domino mask with green eyes. I think that Derrick and Baggers idea is great but Clark shouldn't be a mentor mabye he should find an ally and someway hal and clark can teach eachother something(Hal can help Clark learn about flight and Clark can teach him a lesson he learn from his parrents ). and be written by a comic book writer like Geof Johns, Kevin Smith or something like that. we should other oaths where we see Green Lantern recite his oath and his lantern to charge his ring (

I love GL's "domino mask" from the comics, but the reason I left it out on my image/idea was bescause of him being part of an "intergalactic police force" so figure he wouldn't need the mask cause his a police officer...I do agree the oath needs to be mentioned, also a mention about the emotional spectrum and explain how the ring works (willpower, etc) not sure about the mention of Parallax (cause I like to think Hal isn't going to become that for awhile yet and also like the idea the Green Lantern Corps don't know about that Parallax is actually an alien parasite yet and just think the weakness to yellow is only known as "the yellow impurity"), I think the Blacknest night could be a nice nod to what's currently/going to happen in the comics (but also like Parallax maybe it be too soon to bring it up?).

The oath and the lantern are a must!! not so sure about seeing Clark weilding the ring tho be cool yeah but alil wierd too lol

If Hal is part of the GL Corps, and the GL Corps is an alien organization,
then maybe they could give him a suit that looks different from the costumes worn by the members of the JLA, even if its for a brief few seconds before he changes it to civilian clothing (in order to hide undercover).

Good idea,I would play up the Lanterns as police aspect as well.have Sinestro come to Smallville pretending to befriend Clark but in reality is planning to kill him since he believes Clark is his chosen replacement. Abin sur comes to smallville to stop him is mortally wounded but is found by a young hot shot naval pilot Hal Jordan(Think top Gun). Sur realizes this is who he was meant to find not Clark and bestows the ring to Jordan. Jordan stops Sinestro and saves Clark.

No. If Sinestro could appear mabye he could be Hal's mentor/friend like Green Lantern secret origin. I think Green Lantern should be rookie with a weakness to yellow I admit I love the weakness yet it's a dumb weakness. I think you need to show what Hal do if their's a situation that involve yellow and the situation is dire.

Both great ideas guys, and I love the "police" aspect to be play up as much as possible e.g. have Hal looking for a prison break runaway on Earth or something along that lines maybe. Also as much as I love Sinestro not sure I would want to see him for just one ep (cause they might have to rush his characther to fit everything in e.g. Hal, the Lanterns, the power rings, the weakness to yellow, alien or freak of the week, etc, etc). I think if GL appeared in Smallville would like it if it there was one GL: "Hal" and one GL baddie in the ep, that could all work with the time of the ep and all the interaction and nods to the comics, etc...unless the baddie of the ep was Sinestro then I take it all back and allow him in the ep in the end Yeah as much as the yellow weakness is dumb (what were those guys smoking in the golden age lol) it what makes GL, GL so to have a ep, show or a movie without it would be a real dumb move. the golden age/alan scott weakness was wood or plant based objects.
I would show Sinestro as a hero with some dark parts in his personality as hints to his his dark future. Also I think we need to show a new villian like Hector Hammond or Black Hand.

God bless the golden age lol, Hector Hammond ad Black Hand are both wins, still want The Manhunters tho God I wished there was a GL tv show now roll on GL film in 2010 lol
