How Young is Too Young?

My friend, who is a freshman in college is dating a girl who is in tenth grade, a sophomore. Her parents r okay with it, as are the guy's. Is this right? Could he get into trouble because of it? They've got a really good relationship, which will have been on for 1 year come April.

Is anyone here disturbed by the age gap?

So he's what, 20, dating a girl who's (at worst) 16? That's okay with me... barely. I wouldn't do it, but all the girls I went to high school with were dating 19-20 yr olds, so I guess it's just par for the course.

I'm 21 and I wouldn't date anyone under 18. Not just because of the age thing but mostly because of immaturity. I couldn't imagine going out with a 16 year old now, I'd feel like a creepy babysitter.

I was 18 and dated a 16 year old. The maturity thing became a problem when I started going to college. I broke up with her and met my wife a few years later and we are about 1-1/2 years apart, but then I was 22 and she was 20 and a bit.

I don't think it is the age gap but the stage in life.

A 10th grader usually is anywhere between 15 and 16.

A Freshman in College usually is between 18 and 19.

I'm not sure what the statutory rape age is in your state but your friend should be careful.

Dunno. Last year around prom time when we were pooling money for a limo, I find out he's dating her. I didn't really care, long as they're happy.

Have you ever heard the saying if the field has grass play in it? Well alot of people follow this so really there is no age gap. People will find a relatioship or a one night stand where they can.
