I highly doubt Peter would save Gwen over MJ. SM1 they flirted, SM2 they finally got together at the end, SM3 they will be together but it will be tested. That would piss Mary Jane off and end their relationship right then and there. But it is a good idea.

Well....it would be a spur of a moment thing. He has half a second to decide, like in the first film, but he chooses Gwen over MJ.

Well in the comics Peter has saved Gwen and Harry has saved MJ (his last appearance)

But not at the same time/comic/place etc.
