Given what we have seen, heard, and read, could this be perhaps what we see in the final battle (royal)?

Green Goblin and Sandman team up. Both were foiled in the beginning and throughout the movie by Spider-man, so the Goblin decides he needs Flint's muscle and Flint decides he needs Harry's recourses, and knowledge of Spider-man. They abduct Gwen Stacey, because Harry knows that Peter cares for her, but takes her, because he doesn't want to harm Mary Jane (he still has feelings for her) and takes her to the Construction Site.

When Spider-man comes, they are there, waiting. Goblin has Gwen, and is taunting Spider-man with her. Sandman begins to collect sand from the site, and....grows. He and Spider-man square off. As the Sandman concentrates all of his efforts on the webhead, all Peter can think of is saving Gwen. There is a great scene of Spider-man dodging his way through the construction site, avoiding sand maces and mallets weilded by the giant Sandman, to try and save Gwen before Goblin drops her.

Peter gets there...but is too late. He pulls the falling Gwen up onto the top of the crane with his webline, and her limp body lies in front of him. Peter, now in a complete rage lashes out at Goblin. He and Spider-man have a quck ariel battle, until Sandman re-enters the action. It is two on one and Spider-man needs a miracle.

It comes in the form of Venom. The monster lands with a thud on the back of Marko, taking him to the ground, and sinks his teeth into Sandman's neck. Sandman, poisoned, begins to loose his shape and dies. Harry sees all that is happening around him and realizes that this is NOT who he is. He charges down at Venom and Venom smashes him to the ground. Then, with Harry out of the way, we get the much anticipated...Spider-man vs. Venom fight.

Ofcourse at this point, the weary Spider-man is getting it handed to him on a platter. Venom picks up a piece of debris, and is about to plunge it into the chest of the wallcrawler. At that moment, the Goblin comes flying towards him, with his mask off, and leaps towards the monster...saving Spider-man.
Venom, after Harry knocks him back, uses the debris to impale Harry.

Before he dies, Harry tells Peter he is sorry, and that it wasn't Spider-man who was responsible for his father's death, it was Norman's alone. Then he tells him "Don't tell MJ" and dies. Fueled by even more fury, Spider-man goes after Venom.

-That's generally the way I think that things will shake up, in a workable fashion....what do you think...post your own.

i don't think a climatic battle, i think more along the lines of a battle royal

like so

goblin and spidey fight, spidey knocks goblin out

sandman attacks spidey, this is the feature and the longest fight of the 3, spidey finally wins

venom appears and fights spidey almost killing him, but harry saves the day

i dunno, maybe

Robin, if this is how it turns out, I'd be realy glad. good work.

Yeah, I was shopping for the job to write the film...but, they went another way, what have you....maybe Superman and Batman's sequels will need an 18 year-old writer...lol.

The Q and A said that it's Venom and Sandman who teams up.And why would GG2 jump at Spidey and claw him?

GG2 + Spidey against Sandman + Venom. that's how its goin downnnn.

See, I don't think that Venom is the kind of villain who would team up with anyone especially someone like Sandman.

I know that there were times where Venom even went as far as to join the Sinister Six but I think that that is out of character, and even then...he is uncontrollable. He should end up stabbing Sandman in the back, literally, and fight Spider-man alone.

I'm not a huge Venom fan, I love him, but he isn't my favorite Spider-man villain. He's probably 5th on my list behind the likes of, Goblin, Ock, Electro, and Scorpion. So I don't want a Spider-man vs. Venom fight just because I dig Venom above all others....its because I feel that if you ARE going to incorporate him, then a one on one fight is critical to his character. HE has a vendetta against the web-head, and Brock is trying to prove his worth, and its hard to prove your worth with a partner.

Believe me, no one is digging the 80 ft sandman. But its whats written..
The final scene takes place at a construction site where Sandman is able to absorb the sand piles around him, thus enlarging him and making him a bigger threat to Spidey. Whats cool is, at that point not only does he absorb sand, but also everything else in its path...cars, peices of metal, cement...

Slag, I couldn't dig up the stuff he sent you that you posted. Please tell me you still have it.

We should try to make him come back here. He could tell us alot about the film.

Well....could you post it? I remember it being very intriguing in what he stated. Something about Sony knowing what they were getting themselves into or something....

Poor guy. Telling the truth and everyone laughed at him. How angry how probably was.

Sure... basically most of what he sent is already known though... and since it sounds like he's already been "busted"... so to speak. Lakiamai... hope you're OK if you read this...

The movies starts off with Harry already seeking vengence against Parker and looking for an opportune time to strike. The movie isnt about his "descent into maddness", hes already there, we knows he pissed at Peter and wants revenge. We saw it at the end of SP2. This is about his struggle with revenge or redemption.
The fight happens early primarily so theres enough time to establish hes resorted to revenge, but also to allow time for his redemption, plus add two other villains and a love triangle on top of it.

As far as the memory thing goes, I dont know if that will change before production wraps up or not. But there are other twists involved between Peter and himself, and MJ.

I work for the FX dept. btw. Howver I dont wish to disclose that publicaly on the board so. However most dont seem to believe me, so, its fine either way.

If true... sounds extremely sweet, assuming they flesh out Harry's descent prior to the battle, and Brock's character. A question, since you seem to be in the know (if legit), the fight scene between Harry/GG2 and Peter/Spidey near the beginning, seems out of place if we believe the scene described earlier about the opera, and Harry glaring down at Peter.

My main point/concern, with your report and the report earlier about the opening with the battle between Spidey and GG2, is how do the two fit together? And I think it's a mistake to throw right into a battle, and skip Harry's descent into madness.

And don't get me started on Harry getting knocked out and losing his memory... That smacks of little to no mind games in SM3. A BIG MISTAKE IMO!!!!

And lastly, care of offer how you're in the know... if you are in fact... in the know????

And as far as the mind games go, we see them. Theres plenty of tension of "I know who you really are" games for both Harry and Peter.

The movie is definitely taking a lot on, everyone at Sony realizes that..including Sam. But that doesnt mean it wont cause for a great movie. This one just boarders a little more fantasy than the previous one. Plus the FX will blow everyones mind and convince them otherwise.

Thanks for the reply, gotta admit it sounds legit and pretty cool. Not so sure about the 80 ft Sandman, or the fact that we won't get to see mind games between Harry and Peter, assuming they quickly go to the battle, and the memory loss. Think that is a mistake, a big one IMO. That is a very important part of the Goblin Legacy, and allows the actors to stretch in their roles (more than just Spidey vs. villain). IF true, a mixed opportunity IMO. Hope it changes.

Thanks!

Gotta be a kick-ass job!!!

Nah, i Have no reason to make any of this up. I'm just a fan like everyone else here, except I work at the company that is producing it. I understand why they wont believe me, I wouldnt believe me either given the way things sound. But all I can do is toss it out there, whoever wants to take it cool, whoever doesnt, oh well. They'll all see when the trailer/teaser comes out.

Did you really believe him back then?

Of course we know he's legit now...but? Did you?

I believed he had inside information. I also believed there were some parts that were legit. ALL... things can change from early scripts/storyboards... to the actual shooting script though.

He said some things that were not consistent... like memory loss but STILL mind games, etc... that bothered me.

AND, I can't believe that someone who works in the FX department would be "privy" to so much of the shooting details. IF TRUE, very sloppy on Sony's part. In most of these cases, they piecemeal the information on a NEED TO KNOW basis for the people working on it, to minimize the damage if someone has loose lips.
