Sequels Hugh jackman selfish?

seems to me hugh's a bit selfish and doesnt reealy care about the xmen franchise as long as he gets the wolverine movie going. was watching an interview with hugh and halle on jonathan ross, halle was very postive on having a x4 but hugh wasnt bothered, he was like oh its over, guess at the back of his mind hes thinking i got wolverine coming up so i dont care if xmen doesnt see the lime light again. am not exited about the wolverine movie and i got a feeling it will flop not that am praying it should, but i would rather see another xmen movie since x3 wasnt a disaster and was more entertaining than x1, batman begins and will be better than superman returns.

Could it be because the film is called The Last Stand that that might be the reason why Jackman thinks there won't be another X-Men film?

Just a hunch.

Plus, I'm not too sure Jackman was happy that the film was rushed into production without the captain that steered the ship for the first two voyages.

Sorry but this thread is absolutely useless and certainly does not belong in X3 spoilers. To say Hugh is selfish is crazy anways. He was not contracted for X3 and came aboard anyways to do his character justice. Close thread.

For the record, I believe anyone getting a spinoff would want the previous film to be successful.

And by all known reports and sources, Hugh is a ridiculously nice guy...I don't think he wants to steal the X-Men movies all for himself.

who said he wasnt a nice guy, its obvious if hugh had a chance to do an xmen movie or a wolverine movie he would definately pick the wolverine movie, and right now he aint even bothered about an xmen movie, cuz he knows hes gonna get a wolverine movie.

Maybe he doesn't want to just shell out more X-Men movies for the sake of it. This story arc has come to a nice close, it'd be a nice place to leave it.

How this makes him selfish in your eyes is beyond me. How about I twist it round, how about I accuse you of being selfish by trash talking a man just because he doesn't seem keen to make a movie you want to see made.

I'm happy for the X-Men films to end now, as much as I love them. I look forward to the Wolverine and rumoured Gen X/Young Mutants movie too. Not sure how the Magneto one would work though...

Well Hugh likes playing Wolveirne, he has said so plenty of times before, and i think he knows just as well as most people do, that there are other characters that the Xmen Movies are eventually going to have to focus on other then Wolverine, many people are talking about Gambit as the replacement, because there personalities as the anit-hero are very close...now while i still want wolverine in the movies, but in moderation (fighting) i would like the focus to shift a bit

i don't for see the wolverine movie as flopping, cause while die hard xmen fans might be a tad sick of him by now, the general public can't get enough and many people consider Wolvie to be Marvels second most popular character only to spiderman

i also hope it doesn't flop cause it could easily sway the process of making X4

yeah Mckellen should have won an oscar for all three movies, fantastic work, Jackmen has been about as good as anyone could have hoped for out of Wolverine, i think he was good in the first two, but i do think others who weren't as strong in the first two(James Marsden, Famke Janessen) really stood out as far as acting, and Jackmen just did his thing, but was not the reason..he rules though
