Um, I think I said earlier in this thread that the 49ers lost tonight straight up, no excuses. Maybe I didn't. I don't know. I'm having a thousand conversations about the game tonight and I can't keep 'em all straight. I don't feel the 49ers got "screwed" tonight. I don't know if that call on 4th down should have been a penalty or not, but it didn't look that bad, and the ball looked uncatchable. So I'm disappointed about tonight, but I don't think we got screwed.
.

Oh, I DO! I didn't think the pre-game officiating controversy was a big deal, but it certainly was. I still can't believe how monumentally horrendous they were.

This really was a fitting year for Baltimore to go all the way. With not just Ray's retirement but also honoring Art all year with his name on the jersey. Also it's happy to see the team win for not just all the fans but OJ also.
I said it before, but I think we've sen a real trend recently with seemingly underdog teams coming in hot and traveling a hard hill to win it all. That's why I picked BALT even though I felt on paper the Niners were a better team. I think Balt just wanted it more.

That commercial was absolutely disgusting. GoDaddy's marketing team needs to go away and never return.

Niners also got the good fortune of momentum stopping with a blackout, otherwise they probably wouldn't have been in that game from that point on. And for a defense that's supposed to be so good, they sure got pretty cut up by Balt's offense. It was as if Balt landed some real square punches that kept SF kinda' looking for balance until the blackout. But credit to SF for actually coming back and making it a game.

They knew the window was closing more each year so they really stepped up. I'm so glad I will be able to say I watched my team win a Super Bowl.

That was the point-LOL!!

When the OL is allowed to molest pass rushers during the play and commit uncalled personal fouls after the play, it's much easier.

More about that kickoff return and deep-ball coverage than officiating. But hey, if that OL is just too tough for them, maybe they do need some extra help. :O

Do they still do the "I'm Going to Disneyland" commercials?

Big credit to Flacco for really busting out this postseason.

And I forgot the new rule that while a whistle usually means the play is over, the exception is when a 49ers player fumbles after the fact. Then it's a turnover.

Should have read the fine print.

No no, I get you....maybe the refs should have seen that the SF rushers just weren't man enough to deal with the bullying from the big bad Balt line and should have coddled them a bit more, for the faint of heart. They might have to work on some fine print for that next year.

NEW ORLEANS, Feb. 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- In this city rich in traditions, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco on Sunday shouted five words ingrained in the traditions of American pop culture following the Ravens' 34-31 victory over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII.
"I'm Going to Disney World!" beamed Flacco into the cameras as confetti rained down from the rafters of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
Flacco's pronouncement, part of the production for one of TV's most enduring and iconic Super Bowl commercials, was captured within seconds of the final whistle. His team's victory kept the Ravens unbeaten in Super Bowl play at 2-0. Flacco was named the game's Most Valuable Player.
Completing a Cinderella season in which he had career highs in passing and completions, Flacco was a standout in Super Bowl XLVII, amassing 287 yards passing, including three first-half touchdowns.
On Monday, Flacco is scheduled to participate in a parade at the place where families create lasting vacation memories – Walt Disney World Resort near Orlando, Fla. For Flacco and Ravens fans, celebrating the team's victory at Magic Kingdom is the perfect way to spend some "Disney Time,'' when family, friends and favorite characters can help create even more magical memories for Flacco and fans who share in the limited-time "I'm Going to Disney World'' moment that has a worldwide following.
Flacco's declaration becomes the 26th Super Bowl commercial in the Disney series that began in 1987 following Super Bowl XXI. The first "I'm Going to Disney World" commercial featuring New York Giants quarterback Phil Simms was considered a groundbreaking concept – a produced commercial involving a current event, airing on major networks within hours of its conclusion. Flacco joins an all-star lineup of heroes from sports and beyond who have celebrated milestone accomplishments in "I'm Going to Disney World" commercials.

And Michael Crabtee is not only allowed to be tackled while the ball is in the air, he's not covered by the Geneva Convention, either.

If he's hetero. I'm justing saying, you never know.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Even if you're into dudes, making out with Bar Rafaeli has to be a pretty amazing experience. :o

Nice job covering Jones, by the way.

Oh wait...was that the refs' job too?

I also like when the official tipped Kaepernick's pass and made it into an interception.
