Matt,
(I didnt answer number 1)

-Tortuga was actually a major Pirating City and it was considered the capital.

-You need to be more specific on what ancient civilization and what time. As far as I know most ancient civilizations would consider it a divine and holy practice that would bring them closer to God (it was mainly for the singers and priests)

-What was the second?

-I said false for number 5 ?

-6 was false. in fart Vlad Tepes preferred fighting in the dark for stealth and would leave the bodies and heads of those he'd killed on skewers outside his home and the border lines.

7. I said it was false ?

8. I didn't get this one

9. It was 1-100 my man

12. Ya I put Holy Water

13. I AM 100% SURE THIS IS RIGHT! I LOOKED IN THE BIBLE! Want the page etc?

6/40 is just sad. I'm pretty sure that a certain somebody is gone.

H-boy. But I could be wrong.

You lost... we almost got 20. You almost broke 10 :o

Matt,
(I didnt answer number 1)

-Tortuga was actually a major Pirating City and it was considered the capital.

Tortuga was NOT considered the capital. Port Royal, aka, the Richest and Most Wicked City in the world was. This was because they permitted and encouraged a heavy pirate population due to the fact that the English were not able to afford a real defense from the Spanish and French. (source: A History of Piracy, Philip Goose...try reading and not believing what you see in Disney attractions)

No. I don't need to be more specific. I said some ancient civilizations considered it a sign of divinity. You said false. That is wrong.

-What was the second?

Johnson

-I said false for number 5 ?

I grade and post what I get.

-6 was false. in fart Vlad Tepes preferred fighting in the dark for stealth and would leave the bodies and heads of those he'd killed on skewers outside his home and the border lines.

From,
Dracula, Prince of Many Faces: His Life and His Times by Radu R Florescu and Raymond McNally. I think scholars on the topic know more than you.

7. I said it was false ?

I grade and post what I get.

8. I didn't get this one

Ok?

9. It was 1-100 my man

The Complete Roman Army by Adrian Goldsworthy

12. Ya I put Holy Water

Way to get 1 right.

13. I AM 100% SURE THIS IS RIGHT! I LOOKED IN THE BIBLE! Want the page etc?

Way to go, the answer I was looking for is pedophille.

Also, HB pretty much just admitted to cheating via PM. I'm deciding if I want to punish him.

-6 was false. in fart

Are you a flatulence major? :oldrazz:

Well, the Tortuga one I thought was right... I figured you were in a Pirates of the Caribbean mood :o (Not really)

Pedophile? Really? Wow.

Pedophile? Really? Wow.

Yep, a pedophile. As for Tortuga, while it did have a high traffic of pirates due to the fact that it was pretty much in the center of the carribean and the French were not very strong, Port Royale actively encouraged piracy.

Okay. I wasn't complaining at all, I just wanted to see the answers.

HB admitted to cheating? I thought he was a history buff

Claims he used books and encyclopedias. I am discussing this with the Ghost Host right now. I implied it was cheating when he asked, we are also going over the game rules and the challenge rules.

By the way, all PMs were sent 20 minutes ago. Due 12:30 est tomorrow.

2. TORTUGA WAS THE CENTER FOR PIRACY

"Its name in both Spanish and French means "Turtle Island" or "Tortoise Island", and it is sometimes called that in English. In the 17th century, it was a major center of piracy."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tortuga

3. "Traditional societies often sequester females in residences which are reserved for that exclusive purpose until the end of their menstrual period."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Menstruation#Culture_and_menstruation

Also my Music teacher told me that this (at the time of the crusades) was thought to be one of the only ways to get a Women closer to God. If they didn't have it for a while the Christians & Hebrew would consider the Women of the Devil and the Muslims would consider it unholy. The Ancient Persians would kill the women who didn't have it unless they were pregnant.

5. Not my fault my tribe didn't listen

6. I already stated my reasons
