In one case were judged on the original picture AND penalized for submitting a new one THAT WASN'T EVEN USED FOR THE JUDGING!

You were deducted because Karea changed the URLs to the picture after I told him not to. After the judges had already each submitted their scores for the ORIGINAL picture based on the ORIGINAL PICTURE. Karea then changed the URL to delete the original picture all together, despite asking me if it was ok and my responding "No, its already been judged."

Also, we were deducted on the picture (Matt above: "I would've given it a ten." He gave it an 8.) and then deducted an additional 5 points. I can see penalizing for using the new picture, but if you don't use it... THAT'S THE ****ING PENALTY. And when you grade the new pic... if you're taking x-many points away after the fact, then judge the damn picture on it's merits. Don't reduce the pic AND deduct additional points.

We didn't judge the new picture at all. I didn't even see the new picture until I posted the scores and realized Karea changed the URL.

We won't even mention that your biggest reason for down-grading our grid is that you thought Brodie and Phere were miscast.

Thats not why. You lost points because it was ugly as hell. The black background was unpleasant on the eyes. The miscast was just my musings.

What would you have done Daisy? If a player, after being told I would not accept resubmissions after the judging was already done, decided to edit the URL in order to take things into their own hands and try to manipulate the judges?

Why would you have judged the pics before the time the event was finished (which was today at 1, right?). Im pretty sure karea changed it before than, so you really shouldnt have been judging until after that. And im prettu sure karea changed the pic url before you told him no. Since you never said we couldnt do that before and since we changed it before the judging should have started, i dont see the problem.


Also our flag is awesome. The only one that could compete is that Franklin one, and really thats just a flag within a flag. Who does that ****? I think Poland's flag used to be a flag within a flag, and those *****es got ****ed up

Once you submit, the challenge is over for you. Therefore it was legit to give it to the judges. If he did change it before consulting me, he should've changed it back when I told him I was not accepting resubmissions.

At any rate, the penalty made no difference to the results of the challenge. It was more of a warning to Karea than anything.

Although, that does help explain it. If someone doesn't understand the very basic concept of 'flag'... how can one expect them to comprehend the brilliance of Annyong as mascot nor his position as emblem when used as the flag.
