Well...you're talking about two different kinds of "hate," though. Joffrey was so hated because he was supposed to be - the writers/actor did their job extremely well. Lori was so hated because she was terribly-written, imo.
Ugh, they did Andrea so dirty on that show. But yeah, I guess what I meant was, Joffrey is a villainous character who people hated for his villainy, while Lori was a "good guy" who was hated for being a terrible "good guy."I think that Lori was written to be someone you hate. In the comics she was pretty much one of the main people you're supposed to hate. Kinda like Carol's husband who shall always remain Carol's husband because I refuse to remember his name. Dude was turrible turrible, but Kirkman did a good job. Lori was like that too. Now Andrea was a botch big time. In the comics she's awesome incarnate, but the show just poorly wrote her. If they wanted a hatable female character done right they could have looked at Sherri Palmer from 24. She was someone you were supposed to hate, and she was damn good at it instead of just being in the way.
So far though the characters in Game of Thrones are built to be *******s in an ******* world. It's why I'm rooting for whatever is in the forest to come kill everyone.
I'm gonna do dis too.
I expect White Walkers to be scary as ****.
Yeah the first season is pretty confusing mostly because you have to keep up with the names and the backstory.4 episodes in and I'm pretty confused af, but I guess I get the broad strokes of everything.
I will say, this is by far the best version of Quicksilver yet! Dude an a-hole.

who?
edit: oh, you mean Viserys.
Please don't do this till your 2nd viewing or at least till after you're finished as you're bound to get spoiled. I watched the whole thing in a few days but still managed to spoil the main events by googling in between that time (some early episode guides are pathetic in that they spoil future episode events within their own notes and trivia). I also told my sister to avoid doing it for the same reason and she did the most innocent thing that still led to being able to figure out who dies and who doesn't. Just watch it all as fast as you can without researching till after.I'm scared to do that. I did that once for Arrow when I was binge watching S1, and got a season 2 spoiler the very second I landed on the wiki page.
Yeaaaaah beat'em up beat'em up, break his neck break his neck. It's okay. I look at it as a win-win. If I don't like season 2 I'm going to whup Kane's ass. If I do like season 2 I'm going to whup Kane's ass. Either way it goes somebody gon' get their ass kicked. Somebody gon' get their wig split.
Lol, sounds like fun for all! It's okay. I look at it as a win-win. If I don't like season 2 I'm going to whup Kane's ass. If I do like season 2 I'm going to whup Kane's ass. Either way it goes somebody gon' get their ass kicked. Somebody gon' get their wig split.
I mean, the fact that [blackout]he was played by Sean Bean should have given you a clue.[/blackout]Yeaaaaah beat'em up beat'em up, break his neck break his neck.
In serious notes. I was hoping against the odds
But alas. Not that kind of showNed would live somehow
Wow, never thought I'd see someone say that! To be honest mate if you've watched all of Season 1 and didn't like it I don't think it's going to be your thing after Season 2 or however much of a chance you want to give it. I think Season 1 shows enough of why the show is good that people who aren't into it by the end of it have already given it a fair enough shot. Although it does get better. We talked about this in the Skype call last night, but I forgot to put it here. I finished season 1, and this is one of the biggest tv show disappointments I've seen in a long time. I was so hyped to watch this, but I'm struggling to think of one part of the show that really did it for me on a consistent basis. My favorite part of the show is Tyrion, but he's not someone that I'd straight up tune in every episode just to see what he does. Kane was telling me about how Jon Snow gets better, and I was intrigued by him. I'm going to give the show another shot by watching all of season 2, but if it's not better by then I'm done.
Despite what Asteroid-man says, I'm not going to sit down and watch this **** for four seasons to see if it finally appeals to me in season four. Ain't nobody got time for dat. I love political intrigue, but I don't really want to meh my way through something I'm not feeling for that one moment. You kids are crazy. I'm an old man now. I can't be doing this stuff.
And for the love of the holy Mike Tyson does the fight scenes in this show suck. All that talk about badassary, and this just failed. Hopefully that gets better in season 2.
